What fictional hero would you most like to have around when facing disaster?

Survey says...MacGyver.

1,000 Americans were surveyed as to which fictional TV or movie character they'd most like to have around in a disaster. The results were:

1. MacGyver
2. Indiana Jones
3. John McClane
4. Jason Bourne
5. James Bond
6. Jack Bauer
7. Lara Croft

I find something wrong with the fact that Sydney Bristow didn't make the list. She's far more capable than Jack Bauer at least. (Then again, I'd rank John McClane much lower because while he has a good track record in big emergencies, I don't think that would add up to him being successful yet again. Basically, he's too much of a cowboy.

I'm with MacGyver, although Jason Bourne is second for me. (Sydney Bristow and James Bond are third and fourth - they have connections.)
