A few weeks ago I got my fabric for a skirt I'm making. Well, it wasn't the original one I wanted (but quite lovely), due to me being slow on getting what I want, but they've restocked!

I love this Pumpkin duipioni silk with much passion.

But I also like the slightly mellower tones of this Sunset dupioni silk.

And the Chocolate dupioni silk has a great warmth to it.

I want color, though. Which makes me lean toward one of the first two. I think I'd prefer the chocolate in a gauzey fabric as opposed to silk. And since they didn't restock the Cobalt Blue I've been dying for, I'm thinking...Sunset? Maybe? (I have a $5 credit right now due to them messing up my last order.)

The guy that played Adebisi on Oz is joining Lost next season! Score! Adebisi freaks me out (I'm getting ready to start season two), but I have respect for the actor and would enjoy seeing him back with Harold Perineau.

I need a new cell phone.

Mine has this annoying habit of randomly not having sound. It'll ring, but I can't hear anything on it. That's what I get for dropping it one too many times (and since the only way to get it to work again is to drop it hard...).

I have been informed of this novel thing, though, that Verizon has never voluntarily made me aware of...this thing where you get a free phone upgrade after a period of time? Hell, my phone is around 3 years old, and apparently that's over the limit. So I may go nudge Verizon tonight to see if they want to play ball and grace me with something that works without things like "rebates" or "credits" to my account.

(The funny thing about rebates - when my grandmother got her cell phone, they tried some rebate option for $30 back on the purchase of the phone, and she got a bit snippy. They didn't realize that old people know about bargaining. *snicker* She informed them that it was stupid for her to pay money that she was going to get back, that they would just give her the rebate right then. And they did. Suckers.)

Pardon my spammage, but WTF?

Seann William Scott and the director of the Dukes movie: crack smokin fools.

When Seann William Scott read an early script for a movie remake of the '80s road-rubes TV series, he thought it ''felt like a cheesy episode of the show.'' But then director Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers) said that he and his Broken Lizard partners were punching it up to make it a funnier, faster film, inspired by what he saw as Dukes' true inspiration: Smokey and the Bandit. ''I said, If you're gonna go make it cool and country and rock, that's awesome,'' says Scott, who plays Bo to Johnny Knoxville's Luke. (And what's more country-cool than Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse?) ''I wanted to make sure it wasn't Dude, Where's My Car? in the South.''

Um, what was WRONG with the show? That's the reason you would do it is to be like the show! The charm! The fun!

What's even more stupid is the fact that, by all appearances they have made "Dude Where's My Car" for the South. Except not southern, because their accents SUCK.

*sigh*

This is why certain franchises should be taken away from Hollywood. Next they'll be trying to make the Cosby Show into a movie and having Theo be a rapper (because it's "cool") or Cliff Huxtable be a plastic surgeon. And the cultural icons used would include whoever is cool at the moment instead of the late greats like Lena Horne.
