(This stems from a conversation about Hugh Jackman being sexy. Hammond's talking about the sexiness of Hugh Jackman, Hermie remarks "I'm just going to move my chair away from Hammond and toward Steve" and Hammond says "Well, we all know you and Byrnes have something going.")

Slash - when broadcasters do it wrong. (Love Byrnes. Love Hermie. Just NO on the together part.)

The Mikey and Chad Hour

You know an episode of This Week In NASCAR is going to be fun when it starts with Mikey referring to his shrink and Chad referring to Mikey as having multiple personalities (but only two).

Also, the swiffer shall be featured. Yay!

And...Mikey's in a mood which means Steve Byrnes suggest hugging it out. Chad is either vaguely horrified or really horrified. (We love horrified Chad.)

Mikey: When I think of Steak-ummm burgers, I think of Mark Martin.
Chad: No you don't. That man has never had a burger in his life.
Me: No, he just looks like one.

Mikey: Next time you have a point like that, could you condense that a little bit? That was painful. There was a whole lot of stuff going on there. My brain's not that refined. (Chad) lost me at "Let me explain something to you."

More Procrastination Techniques

Hey look! Shiny! (This is me procrastinating. I need to make lists. And straighten. I at least got the kitchen straightened. But I need to work on the rest of the apartment so tomorrow I can do the closets and really get into the cleaning.)

Dear Larry Mac,

If it wasn't close before (because John Roberts and Steve Byrnes are smart and professional as well), it is now. You're definitely in contention to be one of my favorite NASCAR analysts.

If there's one beef that I have with the veteran drivers right now, it's Jeff Gordon complaining about Brian Vickers racing him. The last time I looked, racing was about trying to out run each other. Vickers has a good race car, and he's trying to get his very first career win. Gordon was complaining because Vickers raced him hard and didn't move over. A lot of veterans are on that bandwagon now.

Do I like the Mark Martin theory? I preach it to my son, Brandon. If it's early in the race, and a car catches you in a hurry, let him go. If you don't let him go, not only are you holding him up, but you're probably going let everybody behind both of you catch up, too. Don't just roll over and let him go. Race him, but be smart. I really have a problem with drivers getting upset with people for racing them.

Thank you Larry! Seriously, besides the fact that that pissed me off so much on Sunday, watching the media pretty much ignore anything about it just chaffes. But Larry, you didn't ignore it and called Jeff out. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Also, Trackside will have Jeff Burton on it this week. I'm going to be watching with a bag of popcorn, because methinks Jeffy will be going OFF. I love Jeff. This should be awesome. (And if he uses really huge words that Elliott doesn't know how to say, even better. *g* I will eventually stop picking on Elliott for "ventilating".)
