If I am sitting on the toilet, that is NOT a good time for the three inch long cockroach to come running out to stand between me and the bathroom door.

On the plus side, it was obviously not from Madagascar, as it wasn't hissing.

Combine this with the large number of milipede bodies outside of my apartment door, plus the creepy crawlies that are managing to get in (looking for water - damn drought), and I'm very anti-bug right now.

Can anyone translate the meaning on the following (Spanish)?

"Los profesores abren la puerta, pero tu debes entrar por ti mismo."

I've got that the teachers open the door, but the second part is throwing me. I know the individual words, but I'm not quite getting the meaning. (It's a poster in my mother's store. I've been staring at it for two hours now.)

Mark says, the second part says: "but you should enter for yourself".

Ah ha! Okay. Thanks! I was seeing owing and entering and it just wasn't computing for me. The fun of literal.

"A teacher opens the door [can open the door], but you have to go through it yourself."

or
"A teacher [is the one who] opens the door, but you have to enter on your own."

I'm translating 'los profesores' in the singular since it's being used in a generic sense of teachers/a teacher.

Might I just take a moment to scream for you? This happens to us constantly. We have a ton of their havens (these huge trees) in our yard and when it rains they try to ease under the back door and get in. Dad recently put up some... barrier thing and it cut back on them MASSIVELY so maybe that could help keep them out?

The bizarre part? The cockroach invasion is at my mother's store. We know the dumpsters behind the store are partly the reason, but the back door is really, really secure and there's no gap at the bottom for them to get in. *g* And my dad has seen them in a corresponding hallway. I swear, cockroaches have magical teleportation abilities. They do!
