YES! I just saw that and I was like "Did I accidentally click on like a couple days old article?" then I was like "NO! I didn't! C'mon Rita! lose your steam lose your steam!"
I mean I know Texas does everything big but really, we do not need a whole new category for hurricanes. *pokes Rita* Steam out baby.
The sucker needs to DIE. It was already having fun being the bastard child of Katrina and Ophelia (cat 5 but moving so dang slowly). The benefit of moving slowly should be that it dies out and becomes pitiful before reaching land.
It does need to die! There needs to be a whole level of science devoted to figuring out how to kill hurricanes. We can make nuclear weapons, dammit, why can't we figure out something that'll break up a weather pattern or two? *scowl* *pokes the Department of Defense*
*nods* that is the one thing I'm hoping. That somehow the slow moving'll mean it lingers a bit over the cooler waters and and we'll get a break here. A friend was saying that was what happened to a hurricane a few years back. Lord I hope so.
