Nasal Irrigation
Okay, I did it. I bought the NeilMed kit and squirted salty water up my nose.
1. Irrigating when you're sick? There's just no way to get it all out the first time. Which is okay and probably to be expected. At one point (at the beginning) I was squirting water into a nostril and it wasn't going anywhere. It was seriously just swirling in that one nostril because I was so clogged up.
2. When the junk starts really coming out, it comes out. And it confirmed that I had an infection in there. Definitely green at one point.
3. I was expecting something much worse. I was thinking it would come through my mouth more (it did a little, but only because my nostril was refusing to work), but it didn't. Thank god.
4. My hope now is that I'll do it in the morning as well and that'll get me through tomorrow.
