My Eye Issues
Went to the optometrist today. About my vision being so horribly off and OMG, what if I'm going blind. Except I didn't spaz quite like that.
(Although I did mention that my mom has horrible chronic dry eye, that my uncle has glaucoma, oh, and my great-aunt had eye cancer and lost her eye completely and had a glass eye. But she had every cancer under the sun, so that was about par for the course with her. What? Aunt Jenny lived into her 80s!)
Well, apparently I'm a freak of nature. But we knew that. We just didn't know how much.
The reason my vision was blurring, but not like normal, is because only ONE eye was affected. See, most folks, you all know how it goes - both eyes get worse. One may get worse than the other, but it's both eyes to varying degrees. Well, apparently one eye doesn't need new glasses. The other does. Causing my brain to have issues with the whole vision thing.
The funny part? My left eye got better. That's right. My vision in my left eye changed for the better. I was freaking out about blindness and instead my eyesight is getting better!
*eye roll*
Now I just need to remember to make an appointment with the GYN. And possibly a regular doctor. (We'll ignore the fact that I don't go to the doctor often and that hitting all three at once will probably result in something expensive happening at some point.)
