Secret Santa

Back at work!

We started Secret Santa today. I have the big boss (as he's retiring) and sent him on a scavenger hunt.

He's not taking it well. *g*

The following email was sent to the entire office after about 20 minutes of him being in his office.

I was not aware that Secret Santa involved hide-and-seek and respectfully request that my Santa bring my gift to my office without delay. I cannot bring a gift to the party that is secreted and will not tolerate this sort of inconvenience.

Impatiently awaiting compliance,
The Boss

*snicker*

We already knew he'd be cranky about doing a scavenger hunt. Thing is, I totally won't cave. (Plus he's walked past one clue multiple times and didn't even see it.) We're expecting him to get on the loud speaker soon.

Funniest part is that everyone knows where his gift is. It's sitting right out in the open in the conference room.

This is only getting funnier.

All of you know what happens when a military mutiny takes place : Lots are drawn and two randomly selected soldiers are shot. This is done so that the whole army is not liquidated and everyone understands that a horrible misdeed has occurred. I explain this because as I was warming my frugal lunch I was shocked to see posted on the coffee maker yet another "go look for it" Santa note.

I assure you that no two of you will be selected for any such extreme action but one of you will have to do penance by getting and holding the parking space next to the Handicap for me. (Late arrival guaranteed)

Do the right thing. Turn in the Hide-and Seek Santa . Rat them out. Throw them under the bus. Act like you’re a client...... You may do so in person or by email and if you really want to be favored above all others you can bring the gifts also.

Punitively yours,
The Boss
Secret Santa Update

Boss refused to follow the clues.

Luckily for boss, on the first day I made the location of the gift obvious. So he found the gift. (I'll have to tape the unused clues to his office window for spite.)

So he's content and munching almonds right now. Too bad tomorrow's clues mean the gift will be hidden in other boss's office. (Reminder to self - let other boss know where they'll be so she doesn't open it.)

ETA: The email he just sent out.

After seeing the note/clue on my desk that directed me “Lakeside” I found a note/clue in the sample room which directed me to a ”Java Fix” so I found a note/clue on the coffee maker that referred me to Ansel so I found a note/clue in the couch conference which sent me to the “Biggest Room “ so I went to The Large Conference and found my gift thank you so much and the shape of the clue cards resembles what? Should I start earlier on Tuesday ?

Now back to work, as the whole problem with vacation is the part when you come back.
