I'm kind of curious as to what happened to today. It's gone. As in, I remember getting to work and sitting down, and there have been fleeting moments of doing things, but suddenly it's almost 3:30 and I don't know how I got here.
I'm guessing the drugs I took before bed last night are to blame. Ibuprofen (for my back), acid reflux meds, and an antihistamine.

To all the NASCAR drivers that are whining like babies:
The only person who gets to whine that the race was stolen from him is Tony Stewart.
Why? Because NASCAR in the past has declared that if a red flagged race that has reached past halfway can not be restarted and finished (before impending darkness or because of noise ordinances, which is more usual) then the race will be called at that point (the point of the red flag). Which means, knowing they couldn't get the race finished (the entirity of it, not just the shortened race, which was a new one to me), they should have ended it at the point where Tony Stewart was leading.
I know why they didn't call it then. It's one of many instances this year of rain affecting a race. It's just happened to be a bad year for rain. I feel bad for the folks watching at home and the fans in the stands who've spent lots of money to get there. I know it's a Chase race, not just one of the regular ones, and that ensuring everyone has a fair shot is what they're after.
But quite frankly, by not playing by their own rules, they messed things up for Biffle, who now has to deal with some random and stupid controversy that doesn't make any sense.
(Seriously? All the guys in the garage had thought you had to keep pace with the pace car and stay exactly that speed in order to say you finished under your own power? Puh-lease. It's always been "maintain a reasonable pace", not pace car speed. Wanna know how I know? Because of wrecked cars. Wrecked cars on the last lap - for instance Talladega last year. Junior was credited for finishing the race as the last car on the lead lap. Jimmie was credited as the first car a lap down. It all came down to how they got restarted and finished the race. AND it was about the speed at which they finished the race. The wording on those instances is such that it applies to not only wrecked cars, but to all cars under caution.)

Billy openly declared his intentions last night. Unfortunately, it was while under the influence of morphine. And while I was under the influence of antihistamines. Which means tonight (after counseling from a male coworker) I need to just casually mention that I think we need to just be friends. *sigh*

I've been rearranging my apartment. And vacuuming. It's been weird going, but I'm having fun. It's been a major overhaul to the living room, and I'm only halfway there.
