Joey Cheek
They're having Joey Cheek day locally next week, with a luncheon and a big to-do at the ballpark. A local college has created a Joey Cheek scholarship for students from Sudan. The best part is that his charitable work is being celebrated more than his Olympic achievements. Says a lot about a guy's character.
And since one of my bosses is a community leader type, she and I are going to the luncheon and get our picture taken with Joey and all that fun jazz. Hee!

Last night's American Idol was almost amusing, except Paula still has no clue why Lisa was in the bottom three. And I am NOT amused by Kevin not being in the bottom three.
