Holidays

This year I'm going to find a way to combine St. Patrick's Day (pinching! leprechauns!) and Cinco de Mayo (margaritas! sombreros!). Because nothing says festive like a Mexican/Irish holiday. Mexicish, maybe? Irican? What's the use of being a melting pot if we can't create a veritable fondue of a holiday?

Food

Because this sandwich was too yummy to NOT share the details of...yesterday I had a sandwich from the place next door. Never had it before. OMG. I still get tears thinking about it, and that's considering it was so huge that I have the other half to eat today for lunch!

Sunset Hills

Smoked turkey
Bacon
Muenster
Baby greens
Cucumber
Sun dried tomato mayo

All on ciabatta

NASCAR Broadcasting

My broadcasting OTP (that are not slashable, so don't go there) is officialy Schraeder/Mikey. LOVE THEM. (About Jamie Mac continually hitting the wall during the Shootout) "Would you believe they put that wall right at the edge of the track?" "Yeah, and they put those turns right at the end of a straightaway, just when you get to going your fastest."

You know, I feel sorry for the woman because of how her husband died, the fact that she was thrust into the public in a very unfortunate way, and because she had to run a company she wasn't quite equipped to handle.

But Teresa Earnhardt is kind of bitchy.

I'm sorry, but running the 3 with another driver isn't replacing him. The 43 will always be linked to Richard Petty no matter who drives it. The difference is in who else DOES drive it. There's a certain amount of respect that can be afforded through cherry picking drivers associated with that number, should the person who owns that number chose to do so. And I'm sorry, Teresa, but Richard Childress owns the number, not DEI.

Considering Junior can't get DEI to partner with him on his Busch cars (RCR would) with Teresa at the helm, considering DEI's seeming unconcern with actually keeping Junior at the end of his contract (honestly, I have to question whether it's a sound business decision given his marketability and name), and considering Junior's stint in military school was cheered for heartily by T...why does it feel like she resents ANYONE who could possibly be attached to her husband's name? That isn't Taylor, that is.

There is the distinct feeling that I am very close to an organizing fit. The fit is centering itself around our office, though. Work organization. Novel concept. I may unleash my inner hell beast on them.
