I'm already working the 'pissed' mood today. Because boss lady wanted something sent to South Dakota. She handed it to me and said "mail it". So I mailed it. Today there is bitching because it didn't get there during other boss's vacation in South Dakota. Woe!

Except NO ONE EVER BOTHERED TO SAY IT HAD TO BE THERE DURING THE WEEK! Or that it needed to be traceable! Jeez Louise people! Take some responsibility for failing to tell me things!

*anticipates much drama today*

Saturday night's date:

Nice guy.

I require a full set of teeth in guys I date, though.

***

Um, so what is my luck with guys? I hit the trifecta with the first three guys I emailed with on Match.com.

1. The Nice Guy with an attribute that just won't work.

2. The Woman Guy who panics if I don't email back immediately the next day.

3. The Passive Geek Guy who wants me to make the first move.

Seriously, what's my luck here? I'm thinking of altering my criteria for what I look for and going with Uber Pretty Guy, Very Business Man Guy, and a random Nothing In Common Guy just to see how it works.

Kenny Wallace makes me laugh.

In typical Wallace fashion, he found the humor in Sunday's unusual situation.

"We've got a Miller helmet with tape all over it. We've got a National Guard uniform," Wallace said. "I'm the same size as Kurt, but I've got a 42-year-old midsection, but it doesn't slow me up."

"We tried hard to get the Irwin uniform to fit me, but that kid, he's just really skinny."

I am currently going to be eating healthier foods. This is due to getting on the scale on Sunday and realizing I'd made it to 135 lbs. (The getting on the scale was due to a very tight top on Friday night.) I wouldn't mind it if it distributed differently, but the last five pounds, which weren't there last weekend, have all ended up at my stomach. Which is affecting my acid reflux. So...healthy.

It helps that I've been having broccoli cravings.

So, I've got questions.

1. Anyone got a good bran muffin recipe?

2. How do you take your green tea?

3. What's your favorite healthy snack?

My problems lie in snacking, early morning food, and the Cokes. I can cut back on the Cokes, although cutting them out is just something I don't want to do. But I am willing to "take my medicine" and add healthier things to my life. Healthy snacks (that are easy to make) are one thing. And I've been craving muffins lately, hence the bran muffin question. And I'm willing to try green tea for the benefits, but I need to know how to take it. I'm used to iced tea, sweetened heavily (the black tea variety). It's harder to try a hot tea.

My grandmother is getting out of rehab on Thursday. This means the juggling of deciding who stays at her house when starts. (Plus the juggling of who walks my dog.)

I'll be at her place on Thursday and Friday. That way I can turn up the heat before she gets home and do grocery shopping while dad is with her (foods that are in accordance with her diet as ordered by her doctor).

I'll also be taking things to do with me. Yay! *sigh* Although working on her quilt in the basement will be fun. I can't let her know that I'm working on something for her. But luckily she can't go down there. (And she'll need time alone, because we don't need to be in each other's faces all the time.)

The fun part in all of this is that the office has lots of mailings going on at the beginning of December. I, of course, am in charge of doing the mailings. I've already had to tell folks to give me the info for one of them, because they'll wait until the last second and then be shocked I can't do it in 30 minutes. (The other one is easier, thankfully.)

Ah, fun.

Kenny Wallace driving the 97 at Homestead

Yay! *does dance of joy*

They're wanting to give him a shot in it with it set up for him and with him doing practice. Since he did so well with no prep at all.

Now just give him a helmet that isn't duct-taped to hide the conflicting sponsor logos.
