So, being the proactive person I sometimes like to be (usually when it comes to clothes), I've decided to start looking for the perfect outfit, just in case I do end up going to my high school reunion.
Now, I'm not doing the daytime portion, just the nighttime stuff. Which screams cocktail dress to me.
So far, I haven't found squat. *g* I want color. I want non-shiny. I want something with a fuller skirt. The fun!
I have a feeling I'll go by the local store, Divas, if I decide to go. They have horrendously expensive dresses, but it would be 'perfect' dresses.
Sites for women's dresses are hard, yo. So if you have any suggestions, leave the web address in my comments.
Anyway, what I am doing is getting sidetracked with items of not-reunion style. OMG. Tunics! Full skirts! Color!
This green tunic in eyelet is just too lovely. For some odd reason I really like this yellow tunic. Yellow really isn't my color, but it's so *light*. Yo,
sullivanlane, this one is yours. If, you know, either of us could afford it.
I'm a sucker for a full skirt. I actually bought one very similar the other day (for $30). Other women were trying them on and looking hideous, but me? Totally my style. Even the sales clerk was envious.
I so want that jacket! Yeah, I know, it breaks the "no shiny" rule. Screw it! It's gold! And shiny!
I want this entire outfit. Dude. This dress has great personality. Too bad it would suck on short-waisted me. God I love this dress. The style would work *so* well on me.
Screw it. Screw anything I've said before. This dress is so totally it. Okay, or maybe this one. Can't you just see me with my hair extra red in one of these?
OMG these shoes. To. Die. For. And this shoe right here...that is just exquisite and funky and fun. How to feel like Carmen Miranda *every* day. Which everyone should feel like. Love this slide. Understated yet funky. This would go so perfectly with the full skirt I bought that I mentioned above.
*cough*
I'll stop now.
