Your mission, should you choose to accept it *prods [livejournal.com profile] ebonbird* is to help me find a new hairstyle.

I'm in a mood.

Haircut tomorrow. Currently I have too much hair. It's really, really thick and annoying. The stipulations on hairstyles are as follows:

Funky/trendy
Bangs (I have them)
Beginning hairstyle is a chin length bob

Somehow my funky/trendy assymetrical cut got lost due to humidity. And my layers have disappeared in the last few trimmings. So I have a bob currently. The key is to find something funky and trendy and ME. Even though many of you haven't met me. *G* I just desperately need help. The hair styles I've been eyeing wouldn't work on me (we'll ignore my current fascination with Halle Berry's hair in the Catwoman commercials - my bangs won't do that).

First of all, Remix Redux is up and running.

http://www.livejournal.com/users/remixredux

Go, check it out. Oddly enough, I haven't had a chance yet to read my fic that was remixed. They did I Blame The Coffee. Okay, so a part of it is apprehension. *g* If the author is reading this, ignore my weirdness. That was my first big baby. The third fic I ever wrote and the first that I really and truly connected with on all levels. From what I read of the headers at the top, I like the fact that it appears you updated it to current timelines. That's cool. *G*

So of course I'm freaking to a degree. *G*

***

My American Idol thoughts from last night's top three show.

First, if you're going to send them home, at least entertain me with footage. That was some boring crap.

Second, Randy Jackson entertains me to no end. Oddly enough, I felt he was the most honest of all of the judges during their interviews. He loves Fantasia. He's not ashamed.

Third, Paula bores me...except when she's talking about Simon. OMG. Their love is so first grade. Eventually they'll just make out in front of America.

Foruth, Simon HAD to go and mention crack-addled Corey from last year. I hate you Simon. Even though I love you.

Fifth, Simon is related to me. It's obvious from the way he Wouldn't. Stop. Putting. His. Hands. In. Front. Of. His. Face. Yes, this is a family trait.

Sixth, as much as I try, Diana and Jasmine just do not interest me. Jasmine did early on, but no longer. My love for [livejournal.com profile] sullivanlane can only help Jasmine for so long (Jas reminds me of how much I miss Sully *floves the Sully*). Oddly enough, there were three early in the competition that I didn't *like* that got my attention more than those I just don't care either way for. I'll be honest. Leah and Camille were Teh Suck. Jon Peter got on my nerves for issues beyond just his performances. Those that I actually found a reason to like based on their personality or talent...I just wanted to see them more. Amy never excited me either way either. I liked John Stevens' personality a lot. Plus he's a redhead. So you know, it's weird, but part of the reason I wouldn't watch a Jasmine/Diana final is there's nothing there for me to root for. I just don't care.

Seventh, and believe me, this will be an odd one...um, did anyone else sit through Fantasia's interview and wonder why the hell she didn't mention a job? I know Ryan asked about hobbies and what she did with her time...but saying lots of eating and sitting around - it just struck me as a tad weird and lacking in depth for an answer. *shrugs* Of course we're on Tasia overload here, so I've heard these questions and answers multiple times.

Eighth, Simon and Ryan are...what the hell are they? Is Simon just a big kid?

I'm training the young woman who'll be working in my sted while I'm on vacation, and people in the office are pissing me off with trying to train her.

They did this to me my first week on the job five years ago. I had five different people telling me five different things that contradicted each other. It was frightening and confusing and just damn annoying. Especially since only one person was supposed to be telling me these things.

Hence me getting to send out a memo to the office to NOT do this. I just cleared it with the head honcho. Anyone who bitches can kiss my butt. I'm damn good at my job. I'm training a girl to answer 10 lines with three different companies for THREE DAYS. She is not going to be perfect. It took me a week to even get remotely comfortable answering the phones.

Plus I have to tell them all to not try and make her type anything. *sigh* It's so stupid the lengths I have to go to just to go on vacation.

Don't piss off the Southerners.

*g* I love my state right now.

In NC? Having trouble getting on the internet? Cell phone getting a "all circuits are busy" message?

You can blame Tasia. *G* We got the business goin' on.

Take that Hawaii!

Me, I'm at my mom's store. Sudden discovery while trying to vote that, for some odd reason, my cell phone was on Roam in my own home. So I had to call technical support, which is a pain in the ass when all circuits are busy. So I came to mom's store. In the process, finally got technical support.

The cool, helpful chick at Verizon is also a Tasia fan by the way. *salute to Tasia chick*

So I'm using my mom's much more convenient land line to dial and celebrating my fixed cell, and just enjoying the fact that, if for any reason Fantasia goes, it's not because her fans didn't try, it's not because she wasn't the best (because she so was), it's because some internet gambler with a power dialer has a vendetta and huge wad of cash on the line (hey, I'm honest - I don't necessarily think it's Hawaii either).
