Today is hell day at work. I have a major project to finish for school tonight (I would have done it last night except for the part where I was sick - thanks darling Japanese food!). Powerpoint and some copies to make. And a 2 page paper. It's not too bad.

But add in the part where I came in early to work on it and proceeded to spend that early time in the parking deck getting information. Because as was going to happen eventually, someone passed a spot they wanted and had to back up (I never, ever back up in that deck). My front side headlight cover got busted. That's the nice thing about being a Toyota Carrola in an SUV world - their bumpers are much higher than yours. I got her information and stayed wonderfully calm. I'm still amazingly Zen about the whole thing. Have to take it to the mechanic tomorrow, but that's all. Whee!

Oh, and the Grammys last night, which I viewed when I wasn't in the bathroom. 50 Cent walking across the stage in front of Amy Lee was hysterical, mainly because even though I hate him and like Evanescence, I felt he probably deserved it more.

The whole thing with Justin Timberlake - I would have been fine with him being there and the apology except for one thing. When he was on stage performing and they cut to a shot of his mother...and his seat filler was J.C. Chasez. That's just wrong. Horribly wrong.

Christina Aguilera looked like shit.

I was glad for a Britney-free night. Except for the joking between Jason Alexander and Snoop Dog, but that was funny.

Prince!!!!! And Beyonce should have shut up on Purple Rain. It's a beautiful song. Don't mess with it. I miss Prince though.

OutKast rocked, as did the funk medley.

I found it highly appropriate that we started the show with Prince and ended with Andree 3000. Perfect bookends.
One of our clients (that I have little to do with) just got bought this morning.

By a company in Kansas. Hee!

Yes, I volunteered to go to Kansas any time they needed someone to go there. They thought I was nuts. I explained that I had my reasons why, although I wouldn't reveal them. I am officially considered nuts by one coworker now. It rocks.

[livejournal.com profile] plum_evil, [livejournal.com profile] celli and all other NASCAR fans. Be on the lookout for the new Gillette commercial featuring the Gillette Young Guns. There's apparently a Kenseth/Junior version. Whatever. Yes, you heard me right. The one to watch for is the Jimmie Johnson/Harvick commercial. They're leaning against the car in some mood lighting, with Jimmie doing most of the talking about the close shave and yadda, yadda, yadda. What he's saying isn't important. The important part is the drool-worthy looks he and Harvick are giving each other. I swear, I just *knew* they were going to start making out at any point. I have my new NASCAR slash couple. I'm all about the Johnson/Harvick slash, yo. Harson? Johnvick? Kevmie? Kimmie? Hee. I like the Kimmie.

ETA: Because I'm obsessive (and avoiding the PowerPoint), HERE is part of the reason for my sudden Jimmie lust. Granted, it doesn't explain the Kimmie overall fascination, but it explains why suddenly Jimmie is Teh Sexy.

This has been an absolutely fabulous last 5 days in regards to NASCAR. It really has.

So let me warn you all...plug your ears. There is a distinct possibility that ear drums could burst.

Yo, [livejournal.com profile] plum_evil. Remember that birthday present we sort of gave up on ever showing up? The one involving a certain Redneck Geek and his autograph?

*plugs ears*

I have sitting before me, ready for framing, one autographed Jamie McMurray picture.

Hee.
