So what did I do yesterday and today instead of school work? Read!

In specific I read the two Smallville novels Silence and Curse. About which I have two things to say.

Nancy Holder is great. She has a nice grasp on the characters. Her plotline was decent, even though it included zombies (not a big zombie fan). My only quibble was with a possum that ambled past people, which is something absolutely ludicrous (because hello, possums are not amblers, they're scurriers, plus they run *away* from people - if they see people they'll most likely play dead - I myself have seen all of three live possums in my life, and two were running like hell across the road at night, the third was playing dead and hissing when the dog dragged it up).

As for Alan Grant.

Alan, Alan, Alan. Can we say bad fanfic? Seriously, we're fans of the show. We don't need you to retell us things like "Clark's an alien" or something else that is exceedingly obvious to anyone that's viewed the show even once. And on that note, have you even watched the show? First, Pete is one of five, not one of seven. Second, how old are you? 80? Because the first time I see Lex call Clark buddy on screen or hear him say "smack-dab" (not to mention all of the weird terminology to describe Chloe) I'll start looking for the Lex doppelganger. And let's talk about characterization. Lordy. Yes, I am that pissed about what you're doing to Pete. I think he's had one moment in this story where he's been normal Pete. Otherwise, it's like some weird moment where he has the same name, but there's no resemblance whatsoever to the character. Alan, you owe me because Curse SUCKS.

If I remember correctly, several people said there were problems with Dragon, right? Because I just bought all of the books, and I'm reading from the back.
