Okay, so, as it's getting into November (I know, I know, it's just the beginning) I have to start preparing the Christmas list for the family. We're going to swear to everybody that this is the year of cheap. Nothing big. Hell, my parents get gifts, everyone else gets an ornament. A special made ornament by moi, but still, an ornament. (I'm flying to CT, that ate up all my money for Christmas.)
So! I'm in the midst of making a short, cheap list of things I want for Christmas (we have guides because if we didn't, we'd all be up shit creek because no one knows what anyone wants or likes). In years past I've tried tailoring each list to each person, because some people just won't buy certain things (this doesn't avoid things like, say, my aunt refusing to buy me a Bon Jovi CD because the cover looked evil, kind of like those KISS guys, or the time my uncle bought me the "Madonna Greatest Hits" CD, which turned out to be crappy half-assed no-name artists doing their "versions" of Madonna songs), but this year, I'm having to give up entirely on asking for anything I want because everyone thinks they *know* what I want. Even though we've got a list.
It makes no sense to me either.
So this year, I'm putting a Swiffer on my grandmother's list. Cause she adores cleaning and would gladly get me something so I can clean.
My other grandmother gets Josh Groban CDs on her list, because she understands the Groban love and shares it.
My aunt and uncle get the NASCAR nightie request.
My sister is getting me a wedding picture, so no need for a list there.
My parents though? Well, I've decided to put Neil Gaiman on their list. But I don't know where to start. Sooooo, I need everyone's help. What Gaiman should I start with?
Anyone? Anyone? Gaiman?
