Bored. So, so, so bored. I could be doing some school work. Could be writing letters for the boss. But I'm not. Because that's my entire afternoon and tomorrow of work.

There's nothing to do. At. All. Granted, tonight I have to write a critical analysis of Terry vs. Ohio, and there's America's Top Model and Keen Eddie, not to mention the trainwreck of AI: Juniors if my crit is done in time.

But that's tonight.

For now, I'm bored. *sigh*

Went last night to the Emergency Services Training Center for class. They have towers and burned out cars and a firing range. Kind of fun. Except the stairs on the 5 story tower are made of grating rather than anything solid. Which means when Greg and I decided in a moment of sheer stupidity to climb to the top, I got left behind. I made it to the second floor before my vertigo made me stop. People were passing me and I'm clutching the railing and whimpering like a baby. There's just something about heights and actually being able to see the ground below your feet as you climb.

And joy of joys, I found out that in BLET (Basic Law Enforcement Training), they sometimes have the trainees run those stairs. To the top. All five flights.

Gotta remember to not do BLET in Randolph County.

If anyone has any idea where I can find information on political bias in the media, holler. I chose that as my topic for a paper for American Government.

Okay, made this up because I'm bored, and this will occupy some time.

The "I'm Bored" Meme

1. Name three different things (movie, book, musical group, song, television show, play, musical, etc.) that you like that all contain the same word. (Ex. Movie: Dear God, Musical Group: Godsmack, Book: The God of Small Things)

Movie: Monsoon Wedding
TV Movie: The Wedding Dress
Song: Where Were You (On Our Wedding Day) by Billy Joel

2. Based on your personality and body type, what fashion era do you belong in?

The 1950s. They padded the hell out of everything, and the dresses suit my body type nicely. I actually have a 1950s era dress, and it looks better than anything I've ever worn.

3. What one thing, no matter how much you try, do you just not understand?

The obsession with golf. Yeah, I get NASCAR, which is a bizarre way means I should get golf. But I don't. At all.

4. If you were kidnapped and taken to a foreign country, what country would you prefer to be taken to and why? (excluding Canada and England for US citizens)

Ireland: Escape would be easier in a country where I look like everyone else. In a crowd I wouldn't be so easy to spot. Plus the climate and landscape lend itself to hiding better than, say, Australia (which would be damn hot - and I don't handle hot well).

5. What is one thing that your family dislikes or avidly hates about you that you love?

My hair. The color is a major source of contention. Some (my grandmother in particular) don't like the fact that it's dyed red. Some don't like the shade of red I've chosen. My mother currently hates the length (although I'm slighty on her side on the length). The style may also be a source of contention.
