Boredom has enveloped me. Enveloped in 321 tri-folded newsletters with perforated mailing seals and postage metering.

Gah.

On the fun side, I'm going to participate in [livejournal.com profile] paperbkryter's Young Ones title challenge. Partially because I need to write again, partially because the titles are good, and partially because I already started a story that fits with one of the titles. Hee.

So, since I've had a picture that I've been staring at for the past 30 minutes (and thank you EW.com for choosing such an unflattering picture), I decided to issue forth this little bit of tangental nonsense concerning Lord of the Rings.

Aragorn is hot. Hot, hot, hot. Like a Toyota hot.
Viggo is not. Actually makes me wince upon seeing his picture. The hair, the clean shavenness, the eyebrows (which seriously, seriously bug me) - they all combine to cause revulsion.

Legolas is hot. This is contrary to my usual litany concerning blonds, because generally I find blonds not attractive at all.
Orlando is hot. He appeals physically to all of my sensibilities. Very pretty, and my favorite kind of hair. When he's not being weird.

Frodo is not. I just...don't kill me [livejournal.com profile] chiri_chan, but he just doesn't look right with that hair. At all. Very much like a creature of another world.
Elijah Wood is not. *ducking* He has very sharp features that do not appeal to me. He has nice eyes, but otherwise? No attraction at all. Plus I feel like I should be changing his diapers (he makes me feel *old*).

Sam is cute. I think he's adorable. Not so much attractive, but definitely cute.
Sean is cute. I can't help it, I just look at him and want to pinch his cheeks, even though he's older than me.

Merry! is cute. Funny and cute, but play with kind of cute. Not as cute as Sam though.
Dom is hot. The sparkle in the eye! His personality is to kill for.

Pippin is cute too. They're a package deal on the cuteness.
Billy is...I have no clue. Cute, but he's quiet, so...

Gimli is completely not. I don't think anyone will debate me on that one.
John Rhys-Davies is...venerable. And fun. I wouldn't say hot or cute, but definitely attractive in a way.

Gandalf is Gandalf.
Ian is Ian.
(He just has this quality that is so massive, that I just don't want to describe it.)

Hee! Who next. *looks at the others in the movie* Eh. Not feeling up to it. I just wanted to get my Viggo horror out of they way I guess. Seriously. Viggo frightens me.

Edited at 3:10 because Merry is Pippin and Pippin is Merry. Damn if I can keep them straight. All I can tell you is who Dom is.

Okay, I was going to rent a movie tonight and I just found out (through the joys of the internet) that my Blockbuster doesn't have it. I also know the mom and pop store I use doesn't have it.

I'm an extremely moody person when it comes to movies, so when I'm in the mood to see something, I want a movie that fits that mood. Argh.

Since I can't see Velvet Goldmine, what's a good movie that fits with that mood?

Anyone? James?

Hmmm, maybe I should do American Psycho since it's also Christian Bale.

But still, any suggestions?
