Funny thing is, I LOVE Sweets. And don't want him to be bad. But dude, it would be one of those twists that would validate (or invalidate, depending on how it's played) Bones' and Booth's opinions on shrinks.
That's going to keep me laughing for a while. I like how they keep revisiting the Hodgins theory, though. Every time Sweets jokes about that now, I won't be able to get "Smokescreen!" out of my head.
Every time last night Bones complained because Sweets was given information on the case when he's just a shrink (and they're not *real* scientists), I kept thinking "Wouldn't it be cool if the geek was right?" And then I realized...this is Hollywood. There's levels of geek that they'll embrace. In the Bones universe, the squints are their own kind of geek, but Sweets isn't an acceptable kind of geek in their group. (He quotes Star Wars after all and is a shrink. Too touchy feely.) And he fits the profile AND has the type of personality that could draw in a victim, because he's just so cute and cuddly!
AND we know from this week that Gormogon has a whole voyeur thing going on with watching the vault. He's putting himself in position to watch everything surrounding the skeleton. Sweets being on hand (and now on-scene) to evaluate Booth and Bones would play right into that.
Now if he were also a youth counselor, I'd be all over the idea. Sadly, I think that'd be too blatant. He's also probably too young to be Gormogon and too old to be an apprentice. Unless there's a lot more of these guys running around.
Seriously, the show is very careful about plotting, etc., and it was just too glaring that out of nowhere, he's suddenly all up in the case? In the vault. And knowing stuff about it? Yeah, the same thing crossed my mind. *bonds*
(I was kind of wondering if I was for a bit there, because I hadn't seen anyone mention it at all.)
That suddenly being all up in the case...it's weird. Granted, I don't have the best knowledge of the series, and his age may be a problem, but the way he knows can be more than just boy shrink genius.

Maybe Sweets is a potential apprentice? Something. Also, all the teeth yanked out EW

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that.
