Pardon the twistedness. In response to Jamie's exchange with Biffle posted yesterday, fic!
Fandom: NASCAR
Title: It's All In The Mind
Summary: Tony gets special notification of the lovefest happening in Daytona.
Tony's sitting at home in front of the TV. He just got a FedEx from Kenseth - a VHS tape with a post-it on the front that read "Call me, then watch this."
So of course, knowing that it was probably going to be pricless, he popped it in the VCR while dialing Kenseth's number.
Kenseth picked up on the third ring, didn't even offer a hello. "You got it in yet?"
Tony took a swig of beer before answering. "Kenseth, if you sent me homemade porn..."
"It's not porn."
"Damn. I was kinda hoping to see Katie naked."
"Just hit play, you idiot."
Tony laughed and did as requested. Immediately footage from Daytona flashed on the screen. The guys on stage, answering questions he was damn glad he didn't have to answer.
"Let me guess, somebody makes a comment about beating the crap out of me."
"Think again. Although I'm sure a couple of them wouldn't mind..."
"Is this going to take long?"
Kenseth's sigh was audible over the phone. "Just watch."
Somebody's question about Biffle and Subway commercials was mentioned. Eh. Boring ass shit. Who gave a...
And Tony choked on his beer.
"Did..."
"Yeah?"
"Did Jamie just say what I think he said?"
And then Jamie repeated it and yep, licking and TONGUE?
"You there Tony?"
"I'm trying to wrap my brain around what I just saw. Heard. You know."
"So, you think Nicole knows?"
Tony's brain stopped at that.
"Knows what?"
"About those two."
"Jamie and...Greg? You're kidding, right?"
"This is Jamie. He sucks at flirting, but even more, he sucks at subtlety. There's definitely something going on there."
It was enough to make the mind reel.
"There's no way...right? Come on, Matt, there's just no WAY. Not those two."
He could almost hear Kenseth's shrug over the phone.
"Well, maybe. But still. I think something's up. Something's been up with Greg for a while. I think we've finally found what."

Matt got off the phone and grinned.
He'd have to remember to thank Jamie big time for his help on this prank. Especially if it got Tony's mind out of the game and left another door to the championship open.
"One down...41 to go."
