New Year's Resolution Update
So far this year I've done things from my list! Really. Already.
First off, I've had my party for the month of January. I refer to anything that involves making of food and inviting people over as a party. *g* Hey, I'm a hermit. That's huge for me. Anyway, had a movie night last Friday night where Bubbles, Halley, Melissa and I ate Mexican (I really have to try making salsa again when tomatoes are better) and watched Ocra: The Killer Whale.
The other thing I've almost done was make an inadvertent major purchase. But I've learned my lesson on the whole pigeon thing. Flight cages cost money and I won't get getting one anytime soon. (Like, $500 kind of money.)
I've been making very vague progress on the whole exercise thing. Jumped on my treadmill for a half mile of walking one night. (Bought WD-40 to lube up the treadmill as it wasn't working perfectly.) Busted out the hand weights for two minutes another night. Actually keep recording an exercise program on Fit TV every day.
The biggest progress I've made is to getting a new job. I'm filling out another police department application this weekend, I'm to call the first PD on Monday, I sent in an application request to a third PD (they're not hiring right now but they'll keep me on file), and I sent in a desperation application to a place that I don't want to work at for a job I don't want to do. Naturally, they called me late Friday to set up a phone interview. (Bubbles, you know which place I really, really don't want to work. Now think of the hilarity of a phone interview. WHY? I live a mile away!)
