Daily Planning Suckage

This past year I got back in the habit of using a Daily Planner. Not a work one, which I also have. I have a personal Daily Planner that gives me a way to keep track of what TV I want to watch (I know, so sad *g*), when my races are (I can record the yearly schedule in January), what chores/errands/etc. I need to do, when I'm working rehab. Writing things down helps me keep track.

Last year I went to Books A Million and bought this nice looking lime green faux croc skin planner. Funky and functional. So this afternoon, during halftime in the Panthers/Saints game, I decided to run to BAM and get my 2009 calendar. The race times/channels aren't up, but I could get my race days scheduled.

BAM didn't have daily planners. Okay, they had ONE. That wasn't anything like what I wanted. It seriously sucked. There was no selection at all. And the one they had wasn't anything a professional would go near. I flat out walked out.

The good thing - the calendar kiosk was still open at the mall with everything on sale. The bad news - their selection was barely better. But hey, they're a kiosk. They stock what they stock. Not like a store that last year was totally stocked with Daily Planners into the next year.

This is how I ended up with a Daily Planner that features...pugs. All they had were dog planners and a runner's planner. I'm not a runner. Also, I'm not patient enough to wait until tomorrow to run to Barnes and Noble during lunch in Greensboro.

The good thing - got a calendar for the year. Tis very pretty. Greek Isles. I can pretend I'm on vacation every time I look at it.
