Passion for the Process

From my local paper...



That right there is what gets me excited about this election. Not that they're voting for Obama (I think the lead guy's shirt makes it obvious who he's voting for) or if they were voting for McCain. It's about people marching gleefully to the polls, excited to register their vote. It's people rejoicing in their democratic right to choose.

Whoever wins, I love the passion and the joy that people have displayed this year. It outweighs the ugly of campaigns to see the passion for the process.

1. Music: Pretty! "Sweet Medicine" by Jason Castro. Please explain again why Kristy Lee Cook got an album deal and he didn't?

2. Voting and Typos: Sign that the Board of Elections put up at multiple locations: "Please turn off all cell phones and electronic devises."

3. Science: Brilliant idea! Let's clone extinct species! Yeah, because that worked so well at Jurassic Park.

4. Sports: Apparently they're shooting fans at races now. No, really. I want to know if someone did a drive by in a motorhome.
