I went into this quiz knowing that I have an artistic preference - Impressionist. (In specific, Renoir.) And that I hate Cubist. Ha. I'm amused by these results as they solidly say "Hey, you know your artistic preference." The funny thing is, I love color more than anything, so if it's a bunch of blah paintings, I'm drawn to the one with the most vibrant color or the most interesting subject matter. (There was one in the test that had a cat. Didn't like the technique of the painting, but I was intrigued by the cat.)

Balanced, Secure, and Realistic.

23 Impressionist, 18 Islamic, 18 Ukiyo-e, -33 Cubist, -41 Abstract and 19 Renaissance!

Impressionism is a movement in French painting, sometimes called optical realism because of its almost scientific interest in the actual visual experience and effect of light and movement on appearance of objects. Impressionist paintings are balanced, use colored shadows, use pure color, broken brushstrokes, thick paint, and scenes from everyday life or nature.

People that like Impressionist paintings may not alway be what is deemed socially acceptable. They tend to move on their own path without always worrying that it may be offensive to others. They value friendships but because they also value honesty tend to have a few really good friends. They do not, however, like people that are rude and do not appreciate the ideas of others. They are secure enough in themselves that they can listen to the ideas of other people without it affecting their own final decisions. The world for them is not black and white but more in shades of grey and muted colors. They like things to be aestically pleasing, not stark and sharp. There are many ways to view things, and the impresssionist personality views the world from many different aspects. They enjoy life and try to keep a realistic viewpoint of things, but are not very open to new experiences. If they are content in their live they will be more than likely pleased to keep things just the way they are.

One of Heirens's other victims, a six-year-old girl, was found cut up in pieces in a suburban sewer.

Could I be mistaken about the authenticity of the Lusk letter? Sure. A lot of the experts disagree with me. But what I can say is that unlike the communications that came before it, this one is consistent with what I would expect from the type of UNSUB I suspect Jack the Ripper to have been.

There is much speculation about the best way to catch this elusive and unprecedented killer, some of it from ordinary citizens, some from "experts". Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, whose first Sherlock Holmes novel, A Study in Scarlet, had been published the previous year, speculated that the killer might be a man disguised as a woman.

Now the other one.

In the third step (the power stroke), a spark from the spark plug (which isn't shown in the drawing) starts the combustion reaction, producing a sudden expansion of hot combustion gases. Both valves are now closed, so the force of the combustion gases pushes the piston downward. IN the fourth and final step (the exhaust stroke), the exhaust valve opens and the piston moves up to push the combustion gases out of the cylinder. These four steps repeat over and over.

Internal combustion means that combustion occurs in a confined space that, in this case, is formed by the cylinder and the head. The cylinder is literally a cylindrical hole in the engine block. A cylinder produces power only during its power stroke, so most engines have multiple cylinders with staggered cycles.
