27 Dresses and Cloverfield

So, from this weekend...

Saw 27 Dresses. Liked it a lot, as it was the romance novel done as Hollywood movie and for once it didn't include wooden acting or characters that made you question *why* they were supposed to be attractive. It was cliche as all hell, but you know, I could deal with that all because they didn't overcamp it and they didn't stretch reality too much.

Tried to see Cloverfield, but I got sick. Oddly enough, not from the movie. Turns out I had a really bad case of acid reflux. So I've seen about a third of the thing. Complete with trying not to throw up and figuring out how to climb over a row of people to get to the exit as quickly as possible. (I had known about the camera work, so I was sitting near the back. Which could have made it worse for getting out, because there were more people at the back.)

"Itchy" needs to be a mood, because damn if my neck doesn't itch.

Oh, the pain!

Ow!

1. They're doing construction right outside my window, so there's lots of noise.

2. The construction also means tons of diesel fumes.

3. Add in babysitting a child who's teething and thinks your necklace makes a great teething ring (thereby making it look like he was giving me a hickey - it's a short necklace) and likes clutching handfulls of hair at the same time...

And I hurt.

(Plus my stupid right leg is being a pain. I don't know why, but my right knee has decided to throb every once in a while if I step funny. I wrapped it this weekend and it behaved, and now I'm back to pain. Plus my right foot is hurting again. *sigh*)

Now to call the vet (my dog has a strange lump on his side). And pay three bills. And edit my resume (again, because apparently honesty is not expected, so time to 'reimagine' what I do). And then if I'm done with everything, I can write. Or at least try to find software that will let me lay out a family tree so I have that better rendered graphically for the writing.
