The Dark Knight

Four things left to do for work. Yay!

A coworker pestered me this morning into watching the trailer for The Dark Knight. The only reason I hadn't watched it yet? Because I thought it was a teaser, not a full on trailer. *headdesk*

Things that I've gleaned from watching the trailer:

1. THIS is the Batman I've been waiting for. Where the bad guys are less cartoonish and more "OMG, freaking PSYCHO".

2. It's hard to trump Batman: The Animated Series, which is the best overall telling of Batman for me. But Chris Nolan is aiming for it.

3. Thank you! Maggie Gyllenhaal is so awesome. Surely she'll make the part better, right?

4. I reserved judgment on Heath Ledger. No more. The man trumped Jack with a laugh. And there's a chance he may trump Mark Hamill. Which is HARD, yo. But right now, I think I'm in love with the bad guy (hee, typed that "bat guy" originally) because he's so much more what I always wanted the Joker to be.
