*falls over in boredom*

It's 1:45 and I've managed to do everything on the list to do today at mom's store.

Also, I've bought a Christmas gift (that's four bought so far - I'm a little ahead of the curve this year), I balanced my checking account, and I've watched CSI. (Well, that was this morning before coming to work, but it was something to do.)

I even filled out my employee review form. (Let it be known, I hate doing those. I especially hate them when I'm a one day a week employee at my mother's store.)

*twiddles thumbs*

Okay, SERIOUSLY BORED.

And mom and dad are headed home from the beach, to be stopping by here in what I'm going to guess is about 15-30 minutes. (I made the mistake of wearing jeans today, which is a no no. Either she won't notice, or five seconds after she sees me she'll fuss at me.)

Lord, I'm so bored that this entry (which has taken way too long to write as it's now 2:10) is putting me to sleep.

There's nothing quite like freaking out passing strangers by trying to get a dinosaur to spread its legs.

(In my defense, someone squished the 2 foot tall plush dinosaur and bent it. I was trying to straighten the dinosaur out. I was a dino chiropractor if you will.)

Hour and a half left in the day, only $233 in sales. And I'm royally hungry. I'm thinking Pizza Hut for dinner (probably a personal pan) and a viewing of last week's Ugly Betty.

Plus I need to plan next Saturday's lunch menu. My grandmother is coming over for lunch and to see my new couch. Which, considering I've had it since April, isn't so new. (I'm lax.)

By the way, anyone else get horribly addicted to McDonald's Monopoly each year?

ETA: I have major issues with parents who treat store owners like babysitters (dropping their kids at the front door and wandering elsewhere), but when the two kids leave WITHOUT their 4 year old brother? Oh hell no. I actually had to go find the little boy and lead him to where his sisters had gone. The really annoying part? The kids keep asking questions. Quite frankly, I'm not here to be anyone's babysitter, and I don't appreciate someone's kids asking questions over and over because they're bored when I'm the one working. (And of all times, NOW is when we have customers. So I could use the time to help out the actual buying public.)

ETA2: And in breaking news, I use the words "quite frankly" too much.
