"Lady in Red" is playing and I'm a HUGE dork, but I'm sitting here singing it as loud as I dare and serenading coworkers.

Watching last night, I had a few things about the sisters solidified for me.

1. I like Ginnie a lot. I like her with her sisters, I like her with Bob. I like her with the random dog (even when she goes a little too Lorelai Gilmore for a character that so isn't Lorelai Gilmore and names the dog Ruth Bader Ginsburg). Mainly because it's an older sister thing and a little because I think she tries too hard.

2. Anne gets on my nerves in pretty much any capacity except in relation to Marjee. I don't for a second buy the actress as a psychologist. I'm not crazy about the relationship with Dan Futterman. I don't buy her as the stable, responsible, supportive one. I *can* buy her as supportive, but the only one she seems to have any sense around is Marjee. Frankly, I think recasting that role was wrong. Should have stayed with Laura San Giacomo.

3. While I hate her with men (and that's part of the character, so I can deal with the hate), I *adore* Marjee with her sisters. She's sharp and caustic and funny and spicy. Lizzy Caplan finally made me pay attention to her with this role. I like how she relates to Anne by being more mature and letting Anne be mature, I like how she relates to Ginnie with the whole jealousy, and I love that she's the only one that smacks down Rose.

4. And I totally can't stand Rose. The character is just whiny and young, but young in that pretentious way that is so damn annoying. Oh yes! She wants to act! For she is a tortured soul and responsible and expectations of family! *snort* About the only time I like Rose is when Joel is around. And mainly that's because Joel rules.

Do you know what it's like to have welts covering your ass and legs, visible breaking of the skin and two painful and very black bruises on your things from an overly amorous (but not toward me - don't go getting ideas) and bored Golden Retriever?

*sigh*

Watched Sixteen Candles last night and...seriously, it was the right thing to watch and made me happy.

Lastly, got to looking at my icons...and about half of them need to change. *sigh* I'm just not feeling a good portion anymore.

Grounds for homicide here folks.

1. Answering client phone calls: Apparently it's now the in fashion thing to NOT take phone calls from clients because "they're busy on something else". This is not done. At ALL. I don't get what the deal is with suddenly not answering client calls (younger executives, not the established ones), but then they call me ten minutes later wanting to know who it was I paged them for.

2. Filing their work: We have a server. Put the crap on it! I have everyone, ranging from executives to the lowest of the peons, who are giving me this wide-eyed look of innocence because they haven't been filing, and yet I am the one who has to deal with folks finding things. I'm tired of the yelling and the whining and it is ON. Luckily, when the founder of the company says "fix the problem"? This means I get to lay the law down and be nasty about it. Whee!

This all means I get to do a memo. A memo that has to be signed by each employee and returned to be put in their employee file. *twirls* I love those kind. Because it's an official censure on the part of management and they can't do a "Heather's out to get us" whine.

On a totally other note, I just deleted 32 icons. Ack! But I was tired of them and it's time for new.

*is bouncing in circles*

Bill Lester! Bill Lester Bill Lester Bill Lester!!!!!

Please oh please oh please! Let him qualify! Please! For the race on SUnday for which I'd be gleeful and scream mightily, because he's the nicest man and I want him to run Cup racing and it would RULE!

Yeah, I'm not the least bit excited here.

(And if you've read this far and wonder why the hell I'm so excited, we haven't had a brother running NASCAR Nextel Cup since 1986. And this guy stands a legitimate chance if he can get a foot in the door. I want teams to *look* at him. Plus, you know, I'm a sucker for the sweeties, and he is one.)

For I am so weird. This is for [livejournal.com profile] elrond50.

NCAA Tourney time. Our office is doing a pool with brackets and all that jazz. You have to pick winners for each game, points are given per game correctly guessed, and then the final you have to choose points.

Since all I've been hearing is about how the first seed from each bracket was right, but all others were cracked out choosing, I decided to go the fun route. I chose the winner of each game based on who has the most evil mascot.

Why yes, I TOLD you I was weird.

WHich is why my prediction for the championship game is Duke v. Seton Hall (Blue Devils v. Pirates). Really, there's not much more evil than Devils and Pirates.
