"Lady in Red" is playing and I'm a HUGE dork, but I'm sitting here singing it as loud as I dare and serenading coworkers.

Watching last night, I had a few things about the sisters solidified for me.
1. I like Ginnie a lot. I like her with her sisters, I like her with Bob. I like her with the random dog (even when she goes a little too Lorelai Gilmore for a character that so isn't Lorelai Gilmore and names the dog Ruth Bader Ginsburg). Mainly because it's an older sister thing and a little because I think she tries too hard.
2. Anne gets on my nerves in pretty much any capacity except in relation to Marjee. I don't for a second buy the actress as a psychologist. I'm not crazy about the relationship with Dan Futterman. I don't buy her as the stable, responsible, supportive one. I *can* buy her as supportive, but the only one she seems to have any sense around is Marjee. Frankly, I think recasting that role was wrong. Should have stayed with Laura San Giacomo.
3. While I hate her with men (and that's part of the character, so I can deal with the hate), I *adore* Marjee with her sisters. She's sharp and caustic and funny and spicy. Lizzy Caplan finally made me pay attention to her with this role. I like how she relates to Anne by being more mature and letting Anne be mature, I like how she relates to Ginnie with the whole jealousy, and I love that she's the only one that smacks down Rose.
4. And I totally can't stand Rose. The character is just whiny and young, but young in that pretentious way that is so damn annoying. Oh yes! She wants to act! For she is a tortured soul and responsible and expectations of family! *snort* About the only time I like Rose is when Joel is around. And mainly that's because Joel rules.

Do you know what it's like to have welts covering your ass and legs, visible breaking of the skin and two painful and very black bruises on your things from an overly amorous (but not toward me - don't go getting ideas) and bored Golden Retriever?
*sigh*

Watched Sixteen Candles last night and...seriously, it was the right thing to watch and made me happy.

Lastly, got to looking at my icons...and about half of them need to change. *sigh* I'm just not feeling a good portion anymore.
