Dear Lupe from India:

I'm...at a loss for words. I really am. I've told you that outsourcing is NOT something we do. We're an advertising agency with 17 employees. We have one office. We have no need of your services. Getting snippy with me and refusing to go to the guy's voicemail and calling back day after day don't change the fact that 1) he refuses to talk to you because we have no need for you, 2) your efforts are useless and 3) you will never, ever get through. Call again and I'm cussing you out.

(All this with the crazy drugs in my system. Concentration? Zero. Reminder to self - the Zyrtec dosage in combination with the Clariwhatever leave you comatose for at *least* 20 hours, so don't take it unless it's desperately needed. The Benadryl isn't nearly as bad. Yeesh!)

I'm having a guy moment. Look the other way.

From Sports Illustrated:

Carolina at Chicago

1. The Bears gave up 75 points in their last four games after allowing just 68 in their previous eight contests. The Panthers will run the ball, protect Jake Delhomme better, and force Chicago into a turnover or two. Carolina 17, Chicago 13

Okay, this is the only sound reason I can see so far for why the Panthers might win. Except...we always do what we aren't expected to do!

2. Bears defense terrorizes Jake Delhomme again. Chicago 13, Carolina 10

That's sound logical. They will terrorize us. Number two defense v. number three defense, when our offense has been 'eh' lately?

3. The poor man's Bill Belichick outFox's the Bears to increase his coaching credentials as Grossman performs not much better than Orton. Carolina 17, Chicago 6

I don't care how well Fox is coaching, he can't make Jake be on or the offense hold the line of scrimmage.

4. John Kasay propels the Panthers into the title game because these two defenses are just too good. Neither offense will breathe Sunday. Carolina 9, Chicago 6

I think it's the offenses and who stumbles that will make this, not the defenses. Kasay could be a deciding factor for sure, though.

5. If John Fox and the Panthers liked messing with Eli Manning, they'll love making Rex Grossman's head spin. Carolina 17, Chicago 16

Well yeah. Going after the QB is a no brainer, because defenses like that. But will we get to him?

6. If you're betting, go the other way, because I'm never right about the Panthers. Chicago 17, Carolina 10

Yeah, love that logic.

If you essentially count that last one as a vote for the Panthers, that means out of 6, five are calling the Panthers to win. Oh heck no. We're gonna lose. I'm pessimistic with sports, but we're too uneven to pull this off.

Taking Over Me

Some slashiness (be prepared). Some hunting of the nasties. Some familial insight. They're a series, so read them in the order listed above. (And tell her that you love her so she'll write more. *g*)
