For some reason I have trouble understanding, I'm having a fast food war. Primarily with Wendy's, with a side shot of McDonald's.
See, any time I go through the drive through at their places and order a drink, they mess it up. I ask for a Coke, they give me a Diet Coke. I ask for a Dr. Pepper, they give me a Diet Coke. I hate Diet Coke.
Today I went to circumvent the whole issue. Ordered an iced tea from Wendy's. The verification over the speaker?
"So that was a double combo?"
"No, a single with cheese combo." (because if you don't ask for that cheese...)
"And a Diet Coke, correct?"
*headdesk*
What did I get? A Coke. Because it was easier to correct to a Coke than to get her to understand iced tea.
I get how Coke and Diet Coke on the headset might be confusing. I worked a drive through once. I also get that Dr. Pepper is two words and starts with a 'd', so also confusing. But...iced tea? Nothing like Diet Coke!
