Tell a fangirl that Randy, Paula and SIMON will be three blocks away for two days.

That kilss a fangirl.

*squee*!!!!

Guess what I'm doing this entire week at lunch? Walking down to the Marriott to hang outside and hope for a glimpse of any American Idol folks!

Have not had a single Coke today. Food isn't agreeing with me anyway, so what's the point? Stayed up till almost 11:30 as well, watching the Panthers/Packers game. Got no quilting done, because by the time I got home it was late and I didn't have the urge.

I did, however, get a couple of things at Wal-Mart with my mom and sister.

1. Black cord blazer
2. Light green/white flannel pajama set for winter
3. Underwear (woohoo!)

Yeah, I rocked the shopping. *snerk*

(Man, so close to comatose. Seriously, can we say blah? There's something going on with my body, and it's not fun. I just want to sleep.)

Word of advice to the American Idol contestant I passed on the street at lunch.

Okay, so I knew you were a contestant from the hovering and the rabid talking on the cell phone. Plus, the words "Well, they asked what song I was going to sing and..." also gave a major clue. But the big clue as to why you performed for the executive producers lies in the mini-mullet you have going on, along with the straw cowboy hat.

Clue: possession of the mini-mullet is grounds for mocking.
Jimmie accepts blame for Dega wreck )

Note for Jimmie: Next time, don't sit there and blame others. Just flat out say you need to see the tape, because people could understand that better. And flat out say "If I caused it, I'm sorry." That at least lets people not hate you.

Oh, and go apologize to Junior now (since you tried to blame him for something that he didn't do). And Mark Martin. Especially Mark Martin. You REALLY owe Mark Martin.

And Ellyut is a sweetie. Apologizing for being rightfully pissed. I swear, I stand by the whole giant golden retriever thing, because he's big and fluffy, but intimidating when pissed...but right back to big and fluffy in five seconds.

[livejournal.com profile] bubblesbrnaid did it, so I'm going to declare too.

The driver I'm cheering on for the Chase is...Biffle.

Since the only one of my drivers in the Chase is Johnson, and he and I have had a falling out (meaning he's not driving his best and therefore doesn't deserve the top spot right now), I feel no problems with rooting for someone else. And I have my criteria for who I won't cheer for...

Won't

1. Rusty Wallace - Eh, the drama of "It's his last year!" doesn't work for me.

2. Carl Edwards - He's too young. He's good, but he has some maturing to do, and I don't think it would be good for his career to win one straight out of the gate (too many high expectations lead to too much pressure in an off year).

3. Ryan Newman - He's Newman. It's in my genetic code to not root for him.

4. Jimmie Johnson - When a driver is consistent and at the top of his game, it's hard to ignore the talent. When they're on a roll they tend to be easy to cheer on. Thing is, it's about talent, not a bandwagon. If a guy has it together at the right time, he deserves to win. Jimmie hasn't got it together this year.

5. Kurt Busch - The rule for Jimmie applies to Kurt as well, but whereas with Jimmie it's been about the last half of the year, for me, with Kurt, it's about things he did earlier in the year. Last year he got himself under control, ignored what others did that would have normally ticked him off and went after the prize. Dedication like that is to be admired. But then he got back into old habits and let his emotions rule. He's not running like he has the potential to run. When compared to drivers who have it together, I just have to go for someone else.

The Wouldn't Minds

1. Tony Stewart - He's on a roll and racing hard as hell. I've gotta give him the credit. And he's not having one of his bad tempered years where he tries to take out everyone and their brother. (Okay, so racing well makes anyone happy.) So if Biff doesn't make it, I'll go with Stewart.

2. Jeremy Mayfield - He's a decent guy, and he's never given the credit he deserves. Heck, he should be getting a lot of credit this year, and even then he can't make the media radar. So, for underdog glory, Mayfield in the Wouldn't Mind column as well.

Not Opposed To, But Not Top Of My List

1. Matt Kenseth - Good old Tofu rallied back to make the Chase, and that counts for a lot. Lets get the Tofu consistency going again and see if he can give the other guys a real run for their money.

2. Mark Martin - Here's my logic: If Martin wins, they'll actually let him retire. Rousch is being an ass about Martin driving next year at this point. (I'm sorry, but the man wanted to retire, you asked him to come back for one year so the car won't be empty, and then are actually considering letting another car go empty? Stupid. The man wants to relax. Let him.) Plus the awards banquet might actually be really hysterical. Can't you see him and all his wrinkles smiling rabidly?
