One of our employees is itching to get fired.
I was asked, by a partner, to harrass this employee extra hard for his timesheet. Because they have to pull some information together by the end of the day for a job. A PARTNER asked me to do this. And really, it's my job to harrass people for their timesheets. (I'd already been harrassing the guy, so no biggie.)
I told him. Have to have it in by the end of the day.
He told me "no".
I told him it wasn't optional. Had to do it. He still said "no."
Somebody is itching to get fired.
ETA: Fun! The partner told me not to say anything more to the guy. For a very good reason - he wants the guy to NOT do his timesheet now, because if he doesn't, and the partner goes to a meeting (with the other partners) tomorrow without that information, he has a way of pointing out very forcefully how fucked up this guy's behavior is. Whee! We're sabotaging him! Which sounds mean and petty, but keep in mind that we harrass him weekly for his timesheet, we fight with him every time, it's been an issue for 6 years (the entire time he's been at the company) but gotten worse lately, and there have been proposals written up on how to deal with him and all employees in getting timesheets done promptly.
