I get continual gripes every time we have a staff meeting because we're having pizza yet again. One guy in particular gripes because he doesn't like Papa John's and wants something from one of the downtown places.
First off, if the company is paying for it, we're not shelling out that kind of money. No. We're eating at decent prices. So each time it's about $30 for the food for around 8 people.
I keep telling people, if you have recommendations, bring me menus. Has anyone brought me menus? No.
Well, head honcho made the recommendation of doing Subway. And you know, it's a good idea. For 8 people, we're looking at around $30 if they each get a six inch sub. (And next time I should have a menu so I can see the prices on the sub tray and the big ole giant subs.) This has the potential to become cheaper and cheaper. Yay!
Except right now I can't DO the huge one or the platter because the web doesn't show prices, and I don't know what time they need the order and yadda yadda...it's just, the price is the same. There's no reason to fret over prices when they never have before! I should have expected it, though.
I'm anticipating fun griping.
And...before I even posted I got hold of one of the guys who would gripe. He griped. Because he can't get a foot long (granted he's 6'3", so he requires more food). But I can't in good faith order a foot long for him when others don't get chips either.
Luckily several have expressed interest in having these meetings at a time other than lunchtime. Thank god. Because I'm sick of the griping and whining.
