This reunion is going to be interesting.

So far everyone has been itching to find out who all has come out of the closet. There have been surprises. The thing is, I'm more interested in who all is showing up that has far much more to hide.

Like the asshole who can't work for any law enforcement agency in the county because of his stupidity. (He lost his sheriff's dept. job because he was supposed to be school resource officer, and instead was going out and writing tickets since it was "a better use of his time". Not to mention the part where he was emotionally abusive to my former best friend, who saw him in a Wal-Mart while pregnant and actually feared for the safety of her unborn child. Let it be noted, it was a toss up at that point as to who would have inflicted the most pain on the asshole - me, her best friend of 21 years, or her significant other, who was former military and has a hair trigger temper.)

Or a classmate, bless his heart, who has been married and divorced twice now (okay, the second divorce is coming up on the end of the one year separation, so technically not divorced yet). Actually, I need to call him and tell him he's hanging out with me. Partially because I have no designs on him (very good looking and nice guy, but he needs to work on being single for a while), and partially because he'd be fun to hang out with. If I can corral him and another classmate then there is the potential for great snarking fun.

Really, it's about the snarking.

The girl from my class doing a lot of the organizing (she was class treasurer, thank god, because she's the only organizer with sense and she controls the money) and I had a long talk the other night. I'm looking forward to seeing her too. Most of those going I couldn't give a flip about, but some of these...yeah.

Please note, in high school? I was the classic nerd. I had a friend in every group, but I tended to be very quiet and introverted until you got to know me. And I didn't make the overtures. I'm a lot more daring and bold now. And the sarcasm factor is much, much higher. I wouldn't be surprised if I shock a few people in return.

It is most amusing when one finds oneself speaking in a manner most unusual.

In other words, the southern chick's been watching a movie with British folk.

A coworker and I sat watching Love, Actually at lunch. Since I do a highly passable British accent when someone else speaks in the same accent in my vicinity (I have to hear it. Have to. Otherwise I come off sounding...well, odd.), I have been quite British for about 20 minutes now.

*twirls*

In other news, Twister rips up Atlanta Motor Speedway. The shape of the speedway actually assisted in the formation of the tornado. But the tornado was nice and had watched "scientific" films like Twister and didn't tear up the track.

And I'm almost finished with the Jimmie/Kevin fun, but I can't finish it right now given the fact that there are no Englishmen in NASCAR. And Ellyut with an English accent is just...no. ETA: NASCAR Online is assisting in the Kimmie fodder, though. Any picture of Harvick including the header "Happy Trails" is too much to bear.

Sometimes it's annoying as hell to be young. And when I say "young", I mean net savvy. Who cares! Have knowledge that is useful? Why use it when we can sit around and scratch our asses and be ignorant!

*growling*

Sudden emergency involving a file too large to email to a client. They need it now. It's 10 MB. Everyone is running around trying to find a way to upload it to the web for the client to download.

Which is when I point out, hey, if it's an emergency, how about YouSentIt.com. Quick and simple. The 22-year-old copywriter? Had just suggested it too.

We were snapped at and shot down. Seriously. What the fuck ever. He didn't look at the site (the art director doing the panicking), he didn't pay attention to us. He just ignored it and went on.
