Bless my innocent fandom's heart. NASCAR, you know how to bring the slashy homoerotic subtext in all it's glory.

Hunter added that the drivers (Harvick and Johnson) shook hands and agreed to meet by themselves Thursday night -- without crew chiefs, car owners or NASCAR officials -- to work through their differences, which began at Phoenix last year.

*cough* So, they started fueding just a month before Jimmie got married?

The 500 is going to be SO much fun this year. *rubs hands in glee*

Due to weird biological circadian rhythms, I have been falling asleep at odd times and waking up weird. One night last week I fell asleep at 8:30. At night. Granted, it was a good night's sleep, but 8:30!

Last night...I fell asleep on the couch with 15 minutes to go in Survivor. Managed to drag myself off the couch during the closing credits (oh well, it was the first ep...I can deal, I can). Actually got the VCR set for CSI relatively quickly, then dragged myself to bed.

And proceeded to have the weirdest dreams.

Punctuating the weirdness was the overwhelming feeling that I really, really needed to remember my dreams when I woke up this morning. It was this odd compulsion, something I couldn't quite put my finger on.

And then, in the midst of brushing my teeth, I remembered. I dreamed I was making out with [livejournal.com profile] kryptonsite. *giggle* Dude! Craig! The weirdest part was when I dreamed that we were interrupted by accountants. WTF? Oh yeah, we were sitting in a car. Hey, I don't understand my dreaming mind any better than anyone else.

For some reason, the song "Some Like It Hot" by The Power Station really makes me want to be a choreographer. Just because of the drums in the opener.

Believe me, it makes stapling really, really sexy and hot. *dances with stapler*

This is for all my Stargate SG-1 fandom friends on my friends' list. I don't get to participate in the fandom since I'm so far behind, but from hearing what y'all have said about it and the different groups...well, when I finally got to see certain things, I giggled, I laughed, and I realized...I think I'm a freak that wouldn't fit in with the folks that ship like me.

Due to syndication, I have just this week (last Saturday actually) seen Pete.

*snicker*

Okay, first of all, all it takes to make me like a character is have him be played by a DeLuise. And my favorite DeLuise at that. David!!!!

And he's a cop? Helloooooo.

Yeah, the Sam/Jack shipper girl likes the Sam/Pete. (Side SV moment...okay, that just hurts my head to write, because then I have bad Sam Jones III/Pete Ross visions.)

Here's my thing about Sam/Jack. I like it when it doesn't upset the working dynamic, when there's tension that nothing can be done about because of military regulation. Yes, I'm a UST sucker. I'm one of those that prefers just moments in the season, with an ultimate culmination in the finale. Or near the end. No sooner. (Yeah, I'm weird.)

Because of military regulations, Sam and Jack can't be together. Unless one of them leaves the military, that's a no go. *shrug* No biggie. See that UST thing? Works for me. Which means when a fun and good guy comes along to pair her with, well, why can't she have a relationship? A lot of people harbor a "what if" in their hearts regarding someone that they could have had something with. Sometimes circumstances just don't work out. So is life. This ties in with my thing of not believing in soul mates as the ultimate love of someone's life. Since marriage takes work and love really doesn't conquer all, there logically is more than one opportunity for love in everyone's life. Look at Elizabeth Taylor. She got 8 loves. *G*

So simply put, I like hints of Sam/Jack, but Pete rocks my socks, so I'm not arguing (in fact, I'm encouraging). Yay! I like a show that gives me options and makes me believe them.
