Watched many movies over the weekend, out of boredom and the chance of ice. Dawn of the Dead was okay, but I’m not a fan of anything that doesn’t make me like at least one character. (DotD gave me one person to root for…sadly, it was Ving Rhames. I love Ving. But his character…nothing. I was rooting for the actor.)

Also watched The Bourne Supremacy. Love the Bourne. Love the movie. Love Joan Allen and the way they played against each other.

Watched Van Helsing finally, since my Hugh Jackman love dictates I see it at some point. Items of note if you haven’t seen it yet…

1) Get drunk first, or be in the process of getting drunk.
2) Have many, many snarky friends on hand. The mocking of Van Helsing is best done in large groups.
3) In the absence of the previous two items, be prepared to make it through a third of the movie before shooting self in head.

Really, I haven’t experienced a movie so bad in a long time. Not even Hugh could save it for me. Luckily the scene selection meant I could skip ahead to TarzanHugh and the massive amounts of snarking that went there.

And because someone else has already done much better snarkage than me on Van Helsing, a link to devildoll’s Van Helsing recap from last May. Because really, my whole snark quota was “Oh, so Van Helsing is Wolverine now? He’s Tarzan now? Ohhh!!! Batman!”

Totally rooting for the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Hey, the Patriots beat my Panthers last year. It’s revenge time.

Die Sister Die

My sister is trying to draw me into Fantasy NASCAR.

My brother-in-law has resisted being drawn in. Sister really wants someone to participate with her. I know that, three races in, she won't care any more.

Plus we all know I'll get obsessive about it. So really, all NASCAR friends on my LJ list, please talk me out of it or fall prey to the lure of the Fantasy NASCAR as well and keep me company.

Way.....down near the bottom, with no character listed, is an actress in the movie. One of those that's so periferally there we'll never know which one she is.

But her name? Barbara Gordon. *giggles*

ETA: Gah! Finally!

I've been searching for this actor's name for ages. He's that guy that always plays some sort of crazy psycho on all the cop shows. I *adore* him as an actor, because there's just something about him that's magnetic. Saw him Sat. night on a rerun of Law & Order: SVU, and finally was able to put a name to the face.
