Enter To Win!

Enter to win a chance to do three laps at Lowes Motor Speedway with Dale Earnhardt Jr. Also you end up entered to win a chance to do the Richard Petty Driving Experience.

Plus there were fun facts about Junior. Reason #482 why I love Junior...he plays drums. Hee!

So yes, I entered. Because it's my boy. Who needs a haircut, but it's my boy. After oogling McMurray's head (it's not like we actually got to *talk* to the man), watching Richard Petty pass us (eh), and getting up close and personal with Mikey (squeal), especially the racing him part...it's time for Junior. THen I'd have only (counts) Jimmie, Kasey, Billy (adores Billy), and Harvick to see off the track.

And you know, the driver (besides Junior) I'd love to meet most is Billy. Because it's Bill Elliot.

Completely related to my last entry...

Okay, I'm one of those weird NASCAR fans that's obsessive on a fannish level. Okay, so sports fans invented fannish, but I take the fannish, sci-fi level of fandom involvement, and apply it to NASCAR.

Meaning, I have way too many driver stickers on the back of my car. I'm at 6 and desiring one more. Possibly two (because my love for Kyle Petty keeps growing). Yes, I'm a fan of the sport. I have my 3 or so drivers I *don't* like, and I have my group that I love, but I'm open to anyone winning (as long as it's not the 3).

But, um...I kind of got around to naming my car finally. And it's a NASCAR thing. *sigh* Okay, so I have a deep green Toyota Carolla. I live in NC. I love Junior.

That means my car is now named Junebug. Because the color is very, very close to that of a junebug. *g* And the 8 is the biggest number on the back of my car. So, you know...Junebug.
Since T is messing with my head in the best of ways, I actually had to think.

I do a lot more of that than you might think. Believe me. I have Lionel essays waiting to be written because of the thinking.

But...here comes the fun! Of being made to think!

Numan is Clark/Superman. We've sort of all figured that out.

But dude. Numan. Just looking at it beside "Superman" got me wondering. Same ending, like with Batman, Aquaman, etc. So...my mind begged the question, what does "nu" mean?

Well, "nu" is the 13th letter of the Greek alphabet.

In science, in regards to atoms, "nu" is relevant with regards to the number 13.

"Nu" could also be an acronym. Two possibilities for that are the United Nations and Name Unknown (as run through the Acronym Finder).

Look at United Nations. Many other languages switch the order of those words (Nationales Unidos for Spanish speaking countries). And who are they? The international peacekeeping governing body.

Look at Name Unknown. That one is kind of obvious, because when Superman comes on the scene, no one has a clue who this guy is. So they kind of have to give him a name.
The following is meta from [livejournal.com profile] paperbkryter on the nature of Good vs. Evil, Numan vs. Segeeth, Clark vs...Kal.

Cut for some spoilers. )
