Dear Michael Phelps,

Okay, I know I've stated before that 1) you're legal and 2) I'm available (and older woman are a GOOD thing, ask Tom Welling), but I'll say it again. Which I just did.

Marry me. *plotzes* Seriously, I've never understood the swimmer appeal until this year, and I am kind of an ass girl (waves at bubble-butted Sam Jones III), but daaaaamn.

Truly yours if you want,
Maveness

Dear Aaron Piersol,

Babe, that *sucked* last night, but that's still no excuse for all the pointing. And I don't mean to the stands for support. Do me a favor and wear a cup or padding or something. Please. I keep getting distracted from being in awe of your swimming to being in awe of...other things.

Pointedly yours,
Maveness

Dear Carly Patterson,

You go girl! Way to stick those landings on the floor. I was in awe of that much more than of the stuck landing on the beam. I knew you could do it on the beam. But that floor routine. Go girl!

And, um, no...I didn't cry. At all. Really.

Sincerely,
Maveness

Dear Sveta,

I was cheering for you girl. I know I'm supposed to cheer for Carly, but I couldn't help but give you the support. You've given this support your all for so long...now enjoy life in Russia out of the gym (and eat a cheeseburger).

Sincerely,
Maveness

Dear TV,

Yeah. Thanks for blowing up on me there. Nothing like a giant popping sound and a TV that no longer works to just suck the fun out of the evening.

No thanks,
Maveness
North Carolina's governor has proclaimed Saturday Fantasia Barrino Day in honor of the American Idol champ, who'll be back in her home state this weekend for the American Idols Tour 2004. The proclamation cites Barrino as "a true testament to what happens when you put your heart and soul into your dream." In other words, she believed in the impossible — and then she reached deep within her heart. She overcame any obstacle and refused to let her dream fall apart. (Cue the chorus.) Then, she strived to be the very best, and shined a light for all to see...

You know what's sad? I think that's one of the *few* things Easley has ever done right. Pfft. (Yeah, I don't like Easley. He keeps screwing over education.)
When someone isn't in, and you ask to leave them a voicemail message...

Please wait until you have been transferred INTO the voicemail to start speaking.

If there's anyone on my friends' list that does vids...I have a recommendation for a song.

"La Vie En Rosa" by Cyndi Lauper

I'm kind of partial the Chlark idea of it, but maybe Luke/Lorelai for that song too. *g*

Or Martha/Jonathan. What? I'm in a mildly mushy mood. Side effect of swimmers.

Just remembered an odd tidbit from a dream last night.

I dreamed that Dale Jr. won the Olympics racing competition by the slimmest margin ever. My first waking thought was "of course it was the slimmest margin, because they've never had racing in the Olympics before!"

My brain is warped. I blame having my Dale Jr. cutout in the living room, staring at me while I was watching Michael Phelps last night.
