And lastly...

Dear Junior,

Baby! Hon! *whimper* Don't ever scare me like that again. Wear the damn HANS device. That way you don't go getting knocked out, which leads to lolling about in the car while you're being engulfed by a fireball.

And, um, if you need anyone to tend to those burns...call me.

Sincerely,
Maveness (who is entirely too protective of her driver)

My boss just called from the convention she's at, and she was all excited because she got her picture taken with The Goo Goo Dolls. Granted, she thought they were the Gah Gah Girls (I have no clue where she got that name from) until I corrected her on the name, but she has a picture with them.

I fear for Jackson Browne tonight at *that* concert.

My mother had a panic attack at the Clay Aiken concert. Her seats were on the second level, and she has a strong fear of heights. Needless to say, she could not get to her seats.

Which is how she and my dad ended up on the 29th row, floor, center.

And I won the bet with my dad. 50% of the audience was 50 or older. *G*

We will ignore the fact that I just got an email from Willie Nelson. WTF? Asking if I like hamburgers, then trying to sell me Viagra.

Stupid spam.

Rewatched the original Buffy The Vampire Slayer this weekend and was highly amused.

First, I can see the bare bones of the series. Buffy was essentially Buffy. SMG and Kristy Swanson had a lot in common on how they approached the role in the beginning.

Second, Pike was an odd combination of Angel and Xander. Seriously, if you watch it, there are several moments that are very Xander-like. Yet the older man, bad boy, help out the damsel thing that is Angel was also present. He was more Xander than Angel, but you can see the two.

Third, Donald Southerland and Anthony Stewart Head played their characters quite alike. Seeing it now, Donal Southerland is quite my favorite. (Sorry Paul.)

Fourth...Andrew Lowrey never really got a chance to take off. *sigh* I loved him.

The dialogue had several references to The Wizard of Oz, which I found weird. So vampires watch movies? Really sunny movies? Although I think Paul's character was pro-Witch of the North. Or pro-Evil Flying Monkey.

I could feel the Joss in the movie, and I could also feel when the movie was changed inorganically. It's interesting to look back and watch, because while it's really bad in a fun, campy way, it's bad because you can tell it was messed with too.

But by far my favorite moment was Ben Affleck on the basketball court. Dude. Ben. Bwa! He didn't even rate a credit at the end, his extra part was so small, but it was Ben!

Also watched A Mighty Wind.

I now worship at the feet of Mitch & Mickey, and at the feet of Michael McKean and Annette O'Toole.

I've been trying to get fic typed up here at work since last Friday morning. It's been taking me forever though, because work is being a bitch.

So I'm biting back. Well, not really. But I'm taking home the company laptop, because I need to do some work-work on it, and then I'm using the opportunity to finish typing my fic. Whee!

I *can* be smart.
