I'm alternating from hyper (just ask
plum_evil) and massively irritated right now.
On one hand, Elliott Sadler has a benefit the Tuesday after the All-Star race in May. For very cheap, you can meet certain drivers (Jamie! Michael W.! Hell, Jimmie J. is in there, but I wouldn't inflict him on Kathe, plus I have to draw a line with my obsession somewhere). Plus you can race your favorite drivers in these go-cart things. Which, because I'm massively evil, I find funny. Which is why I fully intend to make Kathe race Jamie McMurray and I'll race Michael Waltrip (or we can switch). Because I'm evil. And want to have my dreams crushed by professionals.
The irritating part? Wherein SpeedPark takes all the initiative to
make sure local stations play information about the event, tell how much the prices will be, give information on number of tickets per activity,
then don't answer the frickin' phone in order for people to place orders.
You have to leave a message. Telling exactly what you want (I'm guessing). So I have to leave a message with my name and phone numbers and what exactly I'm looking to get tickets for. Damn it. They better call me back, at least to tell me that they're sold out or something. If they're sold out, I can deal, just don't
not answer the phones and expect it to be that easily understood.
ETA: AND it's especially irritating when it goes to a couple of great organizations, one of which is the Autism Society.
