I have to say, there have been different methods of getting attention for saving a show. I've seen several of them in the last few years. It's interesting to watch.

I have never seen anything as ingeneous as THIS.

A blood drive. To save Angel.

*snicker* The flower thing is great, but damn if the blood drive just doesn't say it all.

I was thinking about something last night. On September 11th and the days following, there was a public show of sympathy from around the world. The sight on the evening news of people stepping out of their cars in foreign countries to observe a moment of silence just broke my heart, because it wasn't about politics or public stance on another country. It was about lives lost. That simple.

Due to the bombing that happened yesterday in Madrid, I think the least that can be done is an email of support to the families of those that were hurt or lost. If you'd like to send an email to the Spanish Embassy here in the United States, go to the Embassy's Web Site. You can send an email to the Washington, D.C. office or to offices in Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco or Puerto Rico.

There are certain perks to a job in advertising. If you have a media department, those perks can come in the form of concert tickets if you just ask.

I've been waiting for one of those concerts that makes me *want* to go. I skipped asking for Kelly/Clay tickets (those would have been impossible anyway), but I have my priorities. I have found an upcoming concert that I *need* tickets to.

The begging has begun for Prince tickets. Here's hoping my boss can get those for us children of the 80s.
...I'd totally have fun in bed with.

Come here boy )

And because I didn't think it was fair to have a list of just guys...

The all ladies version )

I'm getting ready to go pick up my car from the body shop. I miss my baby. *sniff* And I'm worried, because this morning when I called to check on what time it would be done, the guy said "It'll be done close to 5:00. It's going in to paint now. Yours is the black Carolla, right?"

To which I responded "Uh, it's the dark green Carolla!"

I like my dark green. Don't fuck up my dark green!

I'm also paranoid that someone will hit me. *snerk* Hey, I've had bad luck lately. Plus, consider that my baby will be paid off in July. Five years folks. I've been paying on it for five years. I want to have the opportunity to enjoy her sans payments.

Plus I'm damn cheap and don't want to buy a new car.
