Well, I'm currently, through email, trying to explain to someone why I chose green as the color Lana switches to. I thought they were being funny at first. Unfortunately I now realize they didn't get the symbolism.
Green is the color of jealousy.
It's also the color of Kryptonite.
In the Smallville universe, if Lana were to start leaning toward the dark side, to start turning evil, what is the one color that would best symbolize the negative effect she would in turn have on Clark? Why, green would.
I don't know, it makes sense to me.
