I've got my LiveJournal back! I didn't feel like posting on Friday, no internet all weekend and then yesterday, I couldn't even get to the darn site. So I'm very, very happy to have my LJ back! *g*

Posts of a more substantial and interesting nature will take place later. Right now I just want to bask.

Actually, it's a giddy, giggly mood. Feeling rather happy. Just ask [livejournal.com profile] musesfool. I just went all giddy/giggly on her LiveJournal. *waves at Victoria*

So, gakking all of this from her, cause I'm bored, and avoiding doing anything productive.

TV Meme

Do you watch more TV or movies?
TV

What is your favourite television show?
X-Files. My favorite show of all time. Without a doubt. Back in the day I was rabid about MacGuyver and Mission: Impossible, and now it's Smallville, but none have ever stacked up to my X-Files.

Funniest show on television?
Everybody Loves Raymond when I'm in the mood to watch my grandmother in action. Gilmore Girls when they're on a roll. The early days of Whose Line Is It Anyway.

Favourite writer on TV?
It's a toss up between Amy Sherman-Palladino and Chris Carter.

Who is your favourite television actress?
Gillian Anderson, Lauren Graham, Allison Mack

Who is your favourite television actor?
David Duchovny, Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, Bruce Harwood, Donnie Walberg (don't ask, or better yet, just go to [livejournal.com profile] dragonsinger's LiveJournal and look at the Boomtown discussion), and for some reason I've yet to understand, Ice T.

Who are the most overrated actors on TV?
David Caruso (argh!), Kim Delaney (double argh!) and almost anyone NYPD Blue related.

What's the worst show on television?
Well, as of last night, that would have to be Married by America.

What is your TV schedule?

Sunday: The Smallville and Gilmore Girls repeats, then surfing until Boomtown at 10.

Monday: Fear Factor (yeah, it's gross, but for some reason I watch), then Third Watch

Tuesday: American Idol, Gilmore Girls, Smallville

Wednesday: Law & Order, American Idol

Thursday: Survivor, CSI

Friday: Law & Order: SVU

More productive entry coming later. I swear!

Soooooo...*g* it's been a while hasn't it. Since I've posted anything of substance. Hee. Well, I'm going to try and remedy that in the next few days. (I think DilloCon killed me for a week. We did tons of substantial talking. I was all used up after that.)

First, couple of quick things (or not so quick as I ramble).

I am a very unlucky person. Not unlucky in the sense that bad things always happen to me. No, unlucky in the sense that if there is a good thing - make that a great thing - that is going to happen to anyone, it won't happen to me. For instance, I don't win prizes. Of any sort. (Unless they're merit based, in which case I've won a few. But that's more about skill or brains than luck.) The only prize I've ever won was a T-shirt. Vegas was a bad idea for me because of my unluckiness.

That changed last Thursday night. We did a Scrabble tournament for charity (and no, we didn't win). But there were door prizes. Yay for door prizes.

Me, I won a Goebel figurine. *scowl* They're made by the same folks that do Hummel figurines. *double scowl* Folks, they rate with Precious Moments in my book. Scary, perfect children. They actually frighten me. And to top it all off, one of our clients was the emcee for the night, and he won the other Goebel. So he gave his to me.

Of course our 59-year-old art director won tickets to a water park. *snicker* She was more pissed than me.

But my luck finally changed. Shifted to the good. At the end was a raffle. I had bought tickets, and luckily you could designate which prize you wanted to be entered for (while I love BB King, I'd seen him before, and an autographed picture of Bobby Bowden would have been worse than the Goebels).

So the time comes, and they're drawing names and I win! Two tickets to The Winson (yep, NASCAR) and two tickets to the pole qualifying for The Winston. Total value: $250.

My sister loves me right now. Her fiance is jealous. *g* I'm just giddy.

Feeling the need to reread and rewatch a book/movie. "Enemy Mine" by Barry B. Longyear. Best science fiction I've ever read. That one story has stuck with me for years, and the movie version made me fall in love with Dennis Quaid and Louis Gossett Jr.

And for some reason, I really want the comfort of that story of friendship right now. Must bug Dad and see if he still has it.

Okay, it's...way, way late, but I swore I'd get around to it.

Because [livejournal.com profile] plum_evil shouldn't be alone in DudeLand.

*g*

Guess who just called our offices.

John Schneider.

Okay, so different John Schneider, but still. I was giggly about it for five minutes. Even teased the boss about how he was important since John Schneider called him. Of course this would have been funnier if my boss had ever watched Dukes of Hazzard. Alas, he is from New Jersey and did not watch the Dukes and their escapades.

Oh well. It's funny to me.

My fun for the day has also expanded by leaps and bounds.

I managed to piss of a telemarketer. Hee.

Makes up for yesterday, when a woman called, asked for S., and when I responded that S. was in a meeting, the woman asked if she could hold.

Honey, S. is in a meeting. Holding is futile.

I swear, some people just don't think before opening their mouths.

And no, that was not an invitation to point anything out to me. *g* Everything that comes out of my mouth (through my fingers or whatnot) is gospel truth. Perfectly accurate. Of sound judgement.

Yeah, I'm living in Legolala land.
