Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] musesfool's diary.

1: Think about your current mood state. List the one song that describes it.

Lullaby

You think I'm kidding? I'm about to keel over I'm so tired. I've got the most warped body on the face of the earth. Comatose sounds really nice right now.

2: If the world was to be divided into two countries and one country had to like ONLY Prince, and the other country had to like ONLY Michael Jackson. Which would you chose and WHY? PART 2: What about between Britney and Christina?

Part 1: Prince. Well, duh. It's not like that was a hard choice. I think Prince is sexy as hell, as is his music. He's an amazing musician. How could I *not* choose Prince?

Part 2: Um, much harder choice...I'll go with Christina. Because hopefully, someone at some time will get her to realize that being blonde and having an exceptional voice is not the most horrible thing on earth, that she doesn't have to be skanky to get attention, that she can just sing, and her voice will do it all. Of course until then we'd have to watch the skany little thing gyrate in her chaps, but at least she has a voice.

3: Even if you don't like JC Chasez... You have to chose one outfit for him to wear to be on Last Call with Carson Daly. What would it be?

Straight jacket. And someone get one for Carson too.

4: Think of your CD collection. Is there one CD you play more than any other? Is it because it means something to you or just because you like it?

"Fly" by the Dixie Chicks, "Evolution" by Martina McBride, "Emotion" by Martina McBride

I absolutely adore Martina. Her voice, her ability to command a song, the emotional resonance of her songs (not including "I Love You" from Runaway Bride). Plus I love the fact that she has a cause (domestic violence) and uses her talent to educate and help. "Independence Day", "Cheap Whiskey", "Broken Wing", "Concrete Angel", "Love's The Only House." She uses her music to get across a message. And her best two songs that she's ever sung are about domestic violence. It's just something in her that makes you understand and really hurt for those suffering.

Ahem, man, got maudlin there didn't I?

And the Chicks, well, they're hella fun. Plus they take the lighter approach to domestic violence (Goodbye Earl) while still conveying the seriousness of the issue. And they're chicks who play their own instruments. That completely rocks.

5: If there was one place, time, or situation you could be in right now... what would it be? (this can be ANYTHING really)

In New Orleans, and the fandom community has taken over the town to party hard. *g* There's lots of meta and fanish squealing over inconsequential things, like hot boys, and all of it is done without any fan wars.

And somehow in all of this I manage to get some really hot geek guy for myself, and we all live in happy, fannish bliss. Oh, and I have my own personal chef who cooks the most amazing Mexican food for me every day.

6: If you had the chance... right this very minute to do something you would never do normally and not risk anything bad from it. What would it be, and would you do it?

Okay, does that cover dying? Like if I jumped off a cliff I wouldn't get hurt or die? I'm going to assume yes, so...

I'm a violent girl at heart, so I'd want to kick someone's ass just for the hell of it. Preferrably someone much bigger (cause I want bragging rights). Maybe they have an entourage that protects them. Hell, gimme Osama or Saddam. I just want to kick some ass.

Or give me Steven Seagal. I'd kick his ass gladly too.

7: Change one thing (physical or otherwise) about yourself. And of course WHY?

It's a toss up. Maybe bigger boobs (hey, a B cup would be nice), or perfect skin with a good color to it (instead of pasty white). Hmmm. I'd have to say the skin one is the preferrable choice. Gonna go with the perfect, rosey skin.

8: Do you think I'll make it to 10 questions?

Technically, yes, because I've already read this whole thing and I know there are ten. But since you cheated and created this question, it really doesn't count as ten, now does it.

9: If you were to commit suicide what would you use to do it and why? Also... would you want to be found or not? (Doing research with this one)

In a weird twist, we discussed this last night in Criminology.

Look, I don't want to sound callous, but one word of advice if you're planning suicide. Call the cops first, tell them where they can find you, then make sure no one is around when you do it. Do you know how extremely traumatic it is on people to find a dead person, especially if it's someone they know and love? Suicide is much messier than murder by nature of how it happens. If you're going to be so selfish as to commit suicide, don't make it ten million times harder on your family or friends by having them find you.

That said, I'd go in the woods and OD on some drug, calling the cops right after I took the drugs and giving them a general location so it would take them a bit to find me.

10: Have you ever been in love? Why was it love and not just like?

I have never been in love. I've been told by a guy that he loved me, and my reaction was to tell him that I liked him a lot too, but that's as close as I've come. I'm afraid that I'm most likely afraid of committment, because I'm scared of being hurt, but there's also the fact that I refuse to tell a person I love them unless I really mean it. I have told family and friends that I love them, and it's very true, but to say it to someone in a relationship situation...that would take a lot. A lot, a lot, a lot.
Oh, dear lord. I now have a mission.

I must master cooking with bourbon. I love bread pudding. And then today I got food from the little place across the street and...Bourbon Pecan Pound Cake. Gah. *swoon*

That stuff is *good*. Only one problem. The bourbon portion is apparently because they cook some in the cake, and then they soak the cake in it. I didn't realize this until I got to the last three bites, which were that bottom, crusty section that is always the best part of pound cake. Now my sinuses are clear and I'm really, really sleepy.

I do like bourbon. *g*

***

In amazing fashion, for the past two days I've been doing chic. Very stereotypical New York (all black, lean lines). *snerk* The comment was made by a coworker that the cute men need to show up because I'm looking especially good. The girl at the place across the street even noticed. She actually asked if I changed my look because of a man. LOL

It's funny. I have a lot of different looks in my closet, but the uber-stylish ones in which I pair up my black pleather jacket and black leather boots with something always seem to get the most attention.

Methinks that's a sign.

****

And a quick question. I have signed up to compete in a Scrabble tournament. It's for charity, and we have a team from my office. Of course I haven't played Scrabble in years, so does anyone have any tips on what I need to brush up on?
