*g* What a nice way to start the day. Although I really have no clue what the other choices were going to turn out to be, I was hoping for Rita Hayworth. But hey, I'll settle.

Fun of the day: 120 press kits to be collated and mailed out to legislators. *sigh* Booooorrring. Plus I need to finish my research for our gangs project in Juvenile Justice. Two to five page paper on the Latin Kings, as well as a 10-15 minute presentation. With a visual. See me jumping up and down in excitement? Didn't think so. Heh. Weird moment that.
But the country song of the moment that I am in love with, and just can't get enough of: "Chrome" by Trace Adkins. There's just something about country songs that deal with women who love cars.
Forget pink and purple paisleys,
Little mellow yellow daisies.
Ain't no pot of gold
In her rainbow.
Her favorite color is chrome.
I know. Silly, but fun. Especially when a guy with a really deep voice is singing it.
And side note, if you can find it, buy a Joe Tex CD with his song "Don't Wanna Bump No More (With A Big Fat Woman)." You will scream with laughter. It's bad, and cheesy, and...you just have to hear it. And some woman out there really should have recorded a song called "Don't Wanna Bump No More (With A Skinny-Ass Man)" as retaliation. And remember, this was from the '70s, so it's cheesy in that kind of cheesy.
