So, that whole VMA/Kanye West/Taylor Swift thing:

I personally thing that "Single Ladies" and "So What" were better videos than Taylor Swift's video for "You Belong To Me". But "So What" wasn't going to win because it's from earlier in the year. Same with "Hot and Cold" or whatever the hell that Katy Perry song was. And lord knows from what I've seen (which is amusing, as I totally haven't paid attention) that the fight was actually between "Single Ladies" and "Poker Face".

That's probably what happened - the pop vote split between Beyo and Lady Gaga, so the third viable current option won. Taylor is a hard working kid. And I don't care who won, but disrespecting the winner by snatching the mic from their hands to exalt someone else is just tacky.

Sadly, we'll never know what would have happened if Kanye had done that to Pink. We can guess, though. It would probably end with Kanye sporting a black eye or a broken nose.

(Bonus love for Nickelodeon kids being more mature than Kanye.)
