Breakthrough: Yesterday I made it to 3:30 before caving and having a Coke. And today? I didn't even think about going to the fridge and getting one when I walked into the office. I have to say, walking into the office with a drink already in hand (a much healthier drink) is helping. I'm substituting.
Yesterday's smoothie was banana and peach. Today's was a simple recipe that I'm pretty sure, upon consumption, is nothing more than a pineapple icy. (Pineapple juice, ice, protein powder.)
The great thing about today (so far at least) is that I came in to find that a few people brought in tomatoes. Fresh, ripe tomatoes. Yay!
Since this post seems to be food-centric, I'll carry on the process: yesterday I had a crabcake sandwich for lunch. Except they burned the exterior of the crabcake. It didn't taste very burnt, but still. The concept of burnt crapcake (expensive crapcake at that) annoyed me. Plus it came with tomato, lettuce and a cajun remoulade. The tomato was almost white, the lettuce was limp, but the remoulade was excellent.
So in response to a lunch that wasn't as good as it could have been, I overate last night by getting a small pizza and eating all of it. It was good, I just ate all six pieces instead of stopping at three. Then I walked for a mile out of guilt. The result today is wearing a very baggy shirt, because my tummy is pooched out a lot.
I need to remember that I'm eating breakfast, lunch should be of medium size, and I should have a small supper. I've actually been on a kick and eating grilled cheese sandwiches at night (I bake them and don't do the butter), so last night was an anomaly with the overeating.
