I am having the best day ever. Why?
My sister called last night and declared "I got boobs today".
I am so damn glad I answered that phone call. Hell, that's the first time she's actually called me since...last fall when she went to Martinsville for the race. It was in the middle of American Idol, and I at first didn't even want to answer, but then I realized...it'll be quick. She'll talk fast. So, whatever. Boy am I glad I answered, because the HILARITY.
Oh, and as Mother's Day is coming up and I'll be in the company of my sister for all of about 3 hours, I refrained from saying "And how did we pay for the boobs?" Cause we know she got the cheap ones and that more than likely she's on a payment plan. (Side note: how does one repo fake boobs? Just asking.) I've already made one evil and crass "She's got them on layaway!" joke to my mom. For I am nothing if not evil. And my sister is nothing if not bad with money and dead broke. Hell, she's so broke she moved back in with my brother-in-law! *g*
My grandmother and my aunt (and presumably my grandfather and uncle) don't know about the boobs yet. My sister very clearly let me know this. I couldn't resist saying "I don't think they're going to be able to miss them." My mother tries to be all logical with "Your sister has always worn padded bras, etc." Um, there's a vast difference between being a 32AA with a padded bra and implants. I don't care how padded her clothes have been, it's gonna be noticeable.

Also, you know you live in NC (and sometimes it makes for absolute hilarity, believe me) when newscasts are lead by giant "BREAKING NEWS" banners...all because Junior is holding a press conference today (to probably announce he's leaving DEI - Rich Brenner's stupid, but even he said that you don't hold a press conference if you're staying).
On the really fun side, Junior gets the kid in the divorce. Hee!
(Okay, so word on the street is that he's leaving DEI for JR Motorsports, which would be getting engines from Hendrick. And that he's taking Budweiser and Truex with him. Press conference is today at 11 and we're taking bets right now as to whether the local news stations will interrupt regular programming to show it. Odds say FOX will.)
