So. Match.com stuff.
1. Posted my bio last week. Took me a few days to decide how much time I wanted to subscribe for. Decided on three months, as I am pretty sure one month won't do, but don't really want to spend all that money on six months. So, happy medium.
2. Got around 30 "winks" since then. I'm surprised by the ones who wink at me that are in, say, Washington. That being the state, not the capital. I don't date normally, which, granted, they don't know, but that's *way* too far for me. Way too far. (Add in the fact that most of the long distance ones seem to be over 40 and I have a secondary problem. I just can't date anyone older than my uncle.)
3. Am also surprised that a couple have winked at me that would be termed as "hotties" (let's face it, when they're really pretty, young, and we don't seem to have anything in common - the "huh" factor kicks in). One hottie is being given a chance, as he is an engine builder and has a motorcycle. Hey, I'm "expanding my horizons". Or something.
4. Have also received 12 emails. A couple obviously weren't a match, and then there was the one. Oh my word. Such the match. Good sarcasm, has grammar and the ability to edit on his side, paid attention to my profile, and has a master's in american history. Thinking about going for his PhD in European history. And did I mention he can snark?
5. One thing that surprised me was the number of divorced dads. While I have no issues at all with dating a dad, the ones that have kids in *college*? Yeah. Not gonna work, unfortunately.
